I doubt you'd get as much as you'd think from parting, since I've recently seen the engine an ebay for 5K. I'm of course referring to the 65's engine, and not the 600.
As for my price, I sold it for 21k, which is exactly what I paid. I had around 7k worth of work done to it, but I estimate it boils down to around $4,500 out of pocket. I installed new coil packs before installing a tune. I sold the old coil packs on ebay for just about what I paid for the new ones. As for the TCU and ECU tunes, I bartered for those thanks to my Southwest miles.
The only painful costs were the ABC pump and radiator. The other repair and maintenance items were inexpensive and fun to install.
My ownership experience versus Edmunds:
ME:
Purchased: $21,000
Sold: $21,000
Depreciation: $0 (0% of price paid)
Maintenance / Repairs / Mods: $4,500 (over 12 months)
Cost of ownership: $375 per month ($495 including insurance)
Edmunds:
Purchased: $34,000
Sold: $20,000
Depreciation: $14,000 (41% of price paid)
Maintenance / Repairs / Mods: $11,551.13 (over 12 months)
Cost of ownership: $2,129 per month (excluding insurance)

I think $495 per month to lease/own a car of this caliber for a year is well worth it. It's been a fun ride, but at 12 months I'm ready to move on. Also, I always had that unnerving feeling when I drove it long distance that the ABC was going to let me down. It never failed on a road trip, but the horror stories were always in the back of my mind. Of course that feeling won't be missed.
