Killed Battery NOT DEAD KILLED
2003 CL 600 had battery problems. Got a new battery, installed it and all was good day 1 day two also good. two days later with not driving the car, the battery was KILLED.. not just dead, Killed. Went to get another battery, im afraid to install it. anyone know what may have happened. NOT JUST dead like i left something on, KILLED it.
anyone have a clue or help. Maybe bad battery? what would make a battery not take a charge?

Is this an AGM battery? I know I had 2 of those in my Diesel which had a bad battery drain. I didn't notice for about a week and it discharged the batteries so far that it killed both of them. To fix the problem I installed new batteries and used a voltage meter connected between the negative cable and a good ground to see how much amperage draw there was when everything was off. I had a 2 amp draw. Turned out that an overhead interior light that was not on was still somehow drawing power. Disconnected it and the amp draw went away and now the truck is fine. I think you should try this.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I'm new to the CL class. I thought there was only 1 battery on the 215 style. I don't see any in the engine compartment, only the trunk.
I'm assuming the original poster is referring to the battery reading 0 and not able to take a charge.

Well thanks for the reply's.
My main concern was that a brand new battery was put to death, lol. The car i assumed was fine, just needed a new battery. I just may have left something on, this would result in just charging the new one and off i would go. I also was scared that something major could have happened and maybe a short or something happened, dont know how, but didn't want to add new battery and car mysteriously catch fire or some strange problem.
Just odd in two days a drain would cause a KILLED battery.
Im hoping today when i put new battery, the light i left will then be the mystery clue, Thanks all United states NJ BRABUS cl600 2003
