CL63 weird shake unlike others

Hey would anyone have an idea on the following, 2007 CL63, it has a noticeable shake. only notice it when parked, in gear/brake on, on low suspension setting. does not do it in the higher access suspension setting.

Front left is where shake comes from, front left shock does pulse a bit (cant tell if motor causing this or shock)

Was every 10 seconds consistently (changed to approx 5 secs when hotter)

has no fault codes

From what i have read seems most are either engine mounts or a coil / plug playing up, but as doesn't do it in higher suspension setting cant be a coil plug problem? but the consistent 10sce would kind of think that.

Or would engine mounts be this even if it doesn't do it at the higher setting or could i be looking at the shock?

Do you have a lowering module? Also have you changed your pulsation dampers on the ABC system? How many miles are on the car? If you've checked the engine mounts, or they've been changed recently, I'd start to look into ABC system.

Hey thanks for reply, umm no don't think has a lowering module (bought from auction so didn't speak to previous owners)
car has 88,000 miles.
I haven't changed the pulsation dampers or the motor mounts. ive attached a clip of revving motor in gear, would you say this is too much movement and are bad mounts?
when it does its shake, the motor doesnt appear to move but the LHS shock does pulse up a bit, would this be the pulsation damper you speak of? or do you think the engine mount could be causing this?

I would look into changing the pulsation damper asap. It absorbs pressure spikes from the pump. When this goes bad and isn't changed you can quickly start to cause damage to other parts of the ABC system. Also, I think you have to find out if the ABC fluid and filter have ever been changed. It's recommended to be flushed every 30k miles. Try changing the pulsation damper on the tandem pump first. See if that helps your pulsing issue. Best of luck and let us know how things turn out.

Also, doesn't look like engine mounts are terrible but if you haven't changed them since you've owned the car, just go ahead and do them.

Fellow owner of this model

I would strongly suggest engine mount and pulsation dampener as well for a start asap. Neither are really expensive compared to other issues

Hey guys have just got round to replacing engine + trans mounts & pulsation damper, has not fixed the shake. anyone got any ideas of what to try next? still only doing it in gear at idle with suspension on the normal/low height, does not have a problem with it on the higher suspension setting

Hey na i didnt do a flush of abc fluid, but i dont think this is the problem though as it doesnt have this problem on the higher suspension height? it is just the left front thats lifting, and it almost consistent every 10ish seconds then every 5 seconds.

Interesting, im no genius but if it were my car, i'd ask the benz gods to make sure the engine is secured whatever else may be holding it down besides the engine mounts. It has to be a simple fix one would think, but an expensive one likely....keep us posted.

hey na i dont feel like it has anything to do with it, as it only does it when in low height & in gear or neutral. Doesn't do it in park or at anytime when on the higher setting.

I cant believe there is no information on this problem, ive googled and read for hours and nothing similar on any Mercedes platform with the ABC. ive just tried swapping Rhs & Lhs level & acceleration sensors with no luck, LHS still doing it. Ive been wanting to avoid but looks like going to have to pay for a scan from a MB dealer.

Just been to dealer they dont have any idea, full diagnostic scan on all abc systems, no faults, had a rodeo done no problems there either..

On a side note i have just noticed that the level links are the adjustable lowering link ones, could anyone tell me the length of the standard arms so i can adjust it back to standard height? looking at other CL63`s mine is very low am thinking previous owner got a bit carried away on the adjustments..
