$20k off new CL63 ??????
I am sure the people buying this vehicle can probably pee away $20k, but I seen a new matt white CL63 today with a $20k reduction and brand new... I don't get it.
What about the people that bought them a month or 2 ago? do they get a rebate check for $20k from MB???
I find it disturbing that they take such a hit in the first place driving it off the lot, but this is like the flashback of the SLR McLaren 722s being sold new for around $325k earlier this year... and that was a $225k off of a sticker...
I understand pay to play, but i think that MB or AMG need to step in and do something about the resale value falling quicker than the stock market
On a positive note... a slightly used one can probably be picked up for under a 100k in a few months... if not already....
hell for $80k less than sticker I will let someone fart in the drivers seat first

They are trying to get rid of the 2010's quick to make room for the new V8TT 63's that are on their way. Even if it means 20k off the MSRP. I would love to pick one up but knowing the new TTs are on their way, I still won't even for 30k off

I agree I'll be paying 20K more than a new 2010 for a brand new biturbo 2011 CL63.. One doesn't buy stuff like this everyday so why settle for less

I agree that the new TT is the one to have but only in perf. pkg 563bhp tune...not a fan of the decision to offer two tunes tbh...
another reason the 2010s are poor value even at 20k+ off is they've been externally facelifted too....

Be patient, don't rush to be the first kid on your block and in two years you can probably buy a CPO for almost 50% off...
In February I purchased a CLK63 Black Series, 5700 miles, CPO until 2012 for $79K against a $140K MSRP....
Was going to pay cash, but MBFS had a special rate on all CLK's...1.99% for 66 months..almost free money !!!
My G55K bought CPO'd...four years old and 50% off of MSRP...
CPO'd as new as you can get them and all of the little niggling problems have been taken care of by the guy who got popped for sticker...
Their loss, my gain....
Only need to wait until the depreciation curve begins to flatten out...
One can buy many other "toys' with a $60K savings....

Mercedes S55 AMG
The new engines do represent a big leap in performance and economy, so it isn't just a little HP bump, plus the facelift - so 20k off sticker seems fair. If I was in the market for a CL63, I'd sure want to wait for the new engine too - since let's face it, I'd be buying the car for performance and not just because it is a CL - or else I'd get a CL550. So the performance bump is significant, especially the torque.

At the rate the economy/home prices are going, it will not be long before the new 2011 models are $20k+ off MSRP. Other than Ferrari w/ their "must sell your car back to dealer" - people are figuring out that "scarcity" (like a 6,000 McMansion) is really not a real word. Therefore, getting $20k off 2010 really isn't much of a savings. After all, when it's time to sell, it'll just be another used car trying (desperately) to find a new buyer (who's desperately trying to find an extended warranty company, LOL ). Historically, I've observed that about 70% off MSRP for $100k+ AMGs after 4 yrs.

Congrats on a smart purchase with your CLK Black Series. $79K, wow. 5K miles is practically new, and definitely worth a savings of over $60K! Let the other guy take the depreciation hit!
