Cooling fan not working

Hello everyone, I hope somebody can help me with this one.

I just bought a 2004 CL55 AMG Kompressor with 48k miles. The car had minor damage in the front but was bad enough to break the cooling fan. Long story short, I bought all the parts including a used OEM fan, and decided that might as well change the water pump/thermostat and A/C compressor. I Put everything in place and started the car today. Everything sounds good but the fan refuses to come on and I'm getting a "Coolant Visit Shop" error message.

It seems that the thermostat has opened and the water is circulating because I have heat. The temperature goes up to about 100 degrees, still nothing. I checked some fuses under the hood, passenger side of dashboard and behind passenger seat. Not sure exactly which is the fan fuse or relay because the car came without a manual and Mitchell On Demand does not have a wiring diagram available.

I scanned the system and came up with a P2073-02 code.

Any ideas?

Thanks

P2073 is definitely a fan related error. (Electric suction fan for engine or air conditioning).

Have you checked all wiring and the associated wiring harness ?

Can you put 12V to the fan and see if it operates independently ?

Not sure if I should be hot wiring the fan because it has four lines going into a fan control module and my understanding is that one of the is a low voltage wire. Unless if you meant hot wiring after the fan control module, maybe i can try that.

Do you know which fuse and relay are related to the fan and the exact location of them? The fuse box cover does not have a diagram and Mitchell On Demand is no help on the vehicle.

Another thing I've noticed is that my A/C is not coming on. It's gotta be related.

Thanks

Ok so it was a bad cooling fan..

Bought a new one from Mitch's Auto in MI. Cost me $570 shipped and I'm back in business..

I'm loving my car so far. Great car to have after my BMW E60.

I did have to replace the transmission mount because I was getting noticeable vibration at 3000RPM and that took care of the problem. Now i have to figure out my Pneumatic problems!!

Thanks everyone for your help.

I am serious. I wont let anyone touch my car. I did the entire front end and the SRS/seat belt system. I have a few scanners but nothing specific MB. How much is DAS and where did you get it from?
