Pics of my '05 CL65 AMG
Here are some pics of my 65 (and a few of the C55 / SL65)! Stock mechanically, has carbon fiber diffuser, trunk lip, side trim, front lip, SL63 style grill, smoked tails, mirrors, side markers. 43K miles!

Rob - That CLS is nasty.
benz_addict - what procedure of dropping it would you recommend? I am looking forward to exhaust / LSD / and tuning!

Did you use one radride? If so what kind? Ever any problems? I currently need to rebuild my rear valve block. It sinks on the driver's side left after turning the car off for a bit. Trying to get the rebuild done, instead of paying Mercedes $1,400 + labor for another rebuilt unit! As soon as I turn the car on, it pops right back to usual drive height and drives perfectly.

Yes. I am running a lowering module. I love having the ability to shut it off and put it back up to stock height, adjust the height of the car up to 50mm lower or 2". Some will argue that the lowering links is the way to go but do your own homework. I got mine from here:

As far as the ride quality at 50mm, if I leave the ABC sport off its pretty smooth and takes bumps well. Once I turn it on, it really has a nice sport stiff feeling that I like. It also helps that its that much closer to the ground.
Those wheels are custom WORK VS XX 3 piece wheels with 20x9" on the front and 20x10.5" on the rear.

That's a beautiful setup! I am getting a little concerned about some common maintenance issues on the CL65. I am currently flushing and rebuilding my rear valve block for ABC system which isn't that big of a deal. I am more concerned about the potential of the oil cooler needing replaced/repaired. How do you other 65 owners feel about this? Do you own your car with confidence without an aftermarket warranty? It is such a beautiful monster, It would be sad to go back to my CL55, but am considering doing so. Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated!

I lowered mine via lowering links for about $250. Owning a cl65 without a warranty could get costly very quick. What did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

I like the grill, I guess you have to see it in person. Hey C280 Sport. In the fleet not including older cars, '04 G55, '08 CL550 Sport, '05 CL65AMG, '06 C55AMG, '07 S550, '07 CLS550, (2) '08 Smart Cabs, '82 230GE 4cyl 4spd G-Wagen, '97 SL320 sport anniversary edition (green woodgrain).
Are you in Sarasota now? I am in St. Pete. Wouldn't mind matching up the CL's!
