There's something wrong with your SL then...
As we've told you from a dig there's no doubt the panameras have the launch advantage but that's it.
I'm pretty sure motor trend is a reliable source. Dragtimes numbers with the timeslips posted are as reliable as any other source for times. In any race there will always be different variables.
It sounds like the Porsche station wagon is the car for you. I'd go pick one up ASAP If I was you and post the videos of it pulling on your SL.

nothing wrong with the SL sir 07 with 12k for miles
and please READ again which car i'm buying! if i was buying a station wagon i'd choose an E55 WAGON
thx for the feedback although a bit condescending. i can only comment on my own experiences in comparison.

Mileage has nothing to do with it. My CL600 with 2500 miles had to have the transmission replaced under warranty this year. You could be having some intercooler or heat exchanger problems.

Yes, its a W216. Overall I couldn't be happier with it so far. Its stupid fast for such a big car with four full seats. I've been using it as my main DD and its really been a blast to drive. Its very comfortable as well.

I read the specs on the pannie turbo-3.5secs to 60 is fast--I tested my car and while I cant TRULY watch a clock and my speedometer, my car is pretttttty close--the pannie turbo has a top speed of 190 also so hard to beat--Yet my car is tuned by Renntech for over 200 mph-was told my car will slowly climb to over 200 from 190 so in the end, for a 1500 buck tune, I whipped an '02 Z06 corvette so Im REALLY happy--His launch was better than mine because I REFUSE to "punch" the accelerator and my tires cant take it anyway without heating them up but I QUICKLY ran past him and was pulling away from him with ease--So, a 200 mph car for 20k???--HELL OF A DEAL!!

In Germany both the Panamera Turbo and Turbo Executive were tested with 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds...I'd dare to say that a slightly modded 55K or a 600 with a LSD and good tires will cope with it.
The normal Panamera 4 and 4S are in the 6.x and 5.x seconds to 62mph range tested and also rated on the manufacturers own website, so they should be no problem for a Cl600 or CL55AMG (talking about C215 here).

FACTS:
Launch control sport chrono 4S panamera
will do O-60 in 4.5-4.7 depending on magazine reviews
Turbo with launch will do 3.4-3.7 and dust any CL from. Stop to 60
and that's fact with or without good tires. AWD wins
Please don't try and put a spin on this
the CL has a good chance to catch up after 60.
Simply talk to people who have seat time in both and they will confirm.

Nevertheless, my CL55 Kompressor also does flat 4.5seconds to 62mph, i've tested it with a little device from my friend that measures different times, G-forces, IIRC based on GPS. And its a beast even stock, i doubt a N/A car like that 4-door Porsche can cope with it, but i will try it out. (i know a person that has a 4S)

PANAMERA turbo just ran these #'s local track 3.67 sec 0-60 (launch control on) and 11.67 1/4 mile stock. Track day via private party for exotics. I've heard with a flash tune you've got lo 3 sec 0-60 car and VERY VERY lo 11's in 1/4
