Comand Firmware Update Oct-2013
I called my SA at local MB dealer today to inquire about a firmware update for my '04 w215. I was told that a firmware update would be released in October 2013 which would apply the current model user interface to my 2004 unit. Can anyone validate this or provide more insight?

Are you sure he wasn't referring to the Navigation updates which happen around October each year?
The W215 COMAND 2.5 hardware hasn't had a firmware update for several years.

Could have been. I clarified several times that I was not referring to the nav software. I'm going to call around a bit more.

Where do i get a new Nav data from? I have a Facelift 2003 model with the 16:9 display.
I ahve heard that they stopped making new ones around 2010 for our Commands, is that right?
