Hey its good to set your goals high and set out to reach them, but at the same time nobody wants to see you set yourself up for disappointment, based on what other people have achieved in the past. As its already been stated, the 60ft and weather do play a role. You mentioned running 28" tires and I think that will hurt you with gearing since a stock setup is closer to 26.5, at least for my 65. The 265/40/18s are right there, if not slightly shorter, which is good since we aren't looking to break 200mph. When the time comes, be prepared to get frustrated getting both tires to stick. It may take a few burnouts each time to get both to spin. You can only do so much, good or bad at least you intend to take your car to the track and share your results with us.

I agree. The 245mt dr still got me 1.62-1.64 60fts. Just make sure you have someone there with you while doing your burnout to give the a thumbs up that both wheels are spinning. Sucks waiting in line, heat soaking to then think you've done a good burnout only to blow the tires off the line and get a low 12 slip....I don't think you've run at the track with the CL yet, just make sure dyno mode and good burnout. What track are you racing at? What MPH will you be satisfied with? I think jay wade with your same mods in his cl600 went 10.9@125, but I think tuning has come along way(better)since he ran that. Like others have stated, if you cut a good 60 and it's cool with a low DA, high 10's are doable
I ran the CL already on the street with dyno mode so I know how it has to be launched and what needs to be done to get the burnout done right. I also know that if I bounce off rev limiter it will throw me into N automatically and I will have to restart the car.
Can't wait to get out there to the track and see what really can be done. FAIL OR NO FAIL I will post times of all my runs and as many videos as I can. This way it may help someone down the line in running at the track.
Thanks
Kamil

Out Of Control!!
Here's a little tip for you guys without LSD. Turn both your side view mirrors down so you can see your rear wheels. When you go through the water give the tires a quick spin so they are both covered in water. Pull up just outside the water box and let her rip. Check the mirror to make sure both tires are spinning. If they aren't, stop and reverse back in the water. If one tire is hot and sticky and you try to do a burnout again you will probably break something. After you've done a burnout and heated up both tires go line up and haul *** down the 1/4! I'm not a professional drag racer by any means but it's also not my first rodeo. Hopefully this helps some people. You can feel free to ignore it as well lol

2003 porsche 996 turbo
if you start your burnout in the water box you throw water all over the inner fender well and it then drips down onto the tires as you stage causing you to slip off the line. bad idea

Here are some updates:
Car will be finalized next week, the only thing missing are the intercoolers, intakes, and exhaust tips at this point but its already at Vinyl, Tint, and Buff.
We took off all the badging but the rear star sits in with 2 little wholes so the star got painted at night gloss black
I will have a after pic on that today.

That is super clean. Absolutely flawless.
Love the piano black interior, considering getting that done in the future. Is it a complete nightmare to get the wooden trim panels out though?
Can't wait to see some full shots out in the sunshine.
