Hello,

New to forum and wanted to share that I am taking delivery of this low mile 2006 CL65 on Monday in south FL. Very excited and can't wait.

- What does everyone feel about future values of the 65's?
- How many 2006's are in the US?

Congratulations. I believe there are only around 60 2006's. More than twice as many 2005's. The cars are virtually unchanged from '05-'06 though.

Beautiful, congratulations !
We own ours since 2008 and it still an incredible machine.

A total of 777 CL65 (C215) were built world-wide.
194 of them went to the US.
Such a rare car.

Enjoy this Beauty

This car is simply beautiful! Congratulations!

Definitely the one to keep for as long as possible, as resale value of these cars rapidly approaching zero...

Enjoy your new ride, as it was said, there were 194 built in total between 2005-2006. in 2005, 142 were built, while in 2006, 52. Its sad to guess how many remain, and keeping this car for the long haul will make finding 65 specific parts a nightmare. Otherwise drive fast, take chances and enjoy being part of a handful.

Welcome! Glad to have another member in the club. As far as values go, I'm really hoping these 65's bottom out at 15k, and the 600's at 10k. I wish these things had a future as classics, but I'm totally fine with luxobarge dragstrip kings. Do you plan on modifying it, or leaving it stock? Either way, yours is gorgeous, hope to see you around!

Thanks for all the comments guys! Monday can't come soon enough.

Aside from slightly wider tires, 255/285, I would like to consider a eurocharged ecu/tcu. Also ordered K&N's on amazon. 5% tint all around, 50% on windshield. Possibly a black wrap since black was my first choice.

Aside that, I truly don't think this thing needs anything else

To my opinion, they have ceased depreciating and I think $30k is really the minimum price for a well-maintained and pristine CL 65 AMG, no matter of mileage

$30k is such a bargain for this car which was costing new $190k in the US...
In Europe, the price was around 220k € so it was more expensive, current prices are around 50k-60k € (that makes $60k so the double than the US !)

No doubt that value will start increasing very soon, this car is already a classic... and they are sooooo rare !

Car was delivered today, but I had a very busy day with work. Was able to drive it for about half a mile and give it a quick wash. I love the way this car looks.

Would like to fix the scuffs on the wheels eventually but I'm not picky since this car is 10 years old.

If you dont mind me asking how much you pay for this thing?

RoadHazard bought my car so I miss it a lot. I should be first on the list if he goes and wants to sell it back.

1999 S500 Grand Edition
Beautiful car! Congrats!!

I am looking at CL65's and was wondering what it is going to take to keep one alive. I am familiar with the suspension and Arnott has re-stocked the cupboard with replacement OEM struts. Is this V12 more checkbook friendly than the W140 cars? I also have a W140 S500 Grand Edition so I am familiar with Mercedes crazy engineering. The 2000-2006 Benz's are well known for electrical issues so I wondered how the CL's measured up.

Thanks,

Mark

Welcome! Not many 06 CL's in general in the USA. Your CL65 is a very special car.

My 06 while not a AMG has been very solid. No ABC issues yet but when they do they offer aftermarket for cheaper. V12 upkeep in general is expensive due to the complexity of the engine. Lots of plugs, wires, rotors, pads and tires.
