2006 CL65 tires (275 / 285) question
I will need to purchase new tires for my 2006 CL65 and the stock rears are 275/35/19
If I want to do 285's, should I be looking at 285/35/19 or 285/30/19?
Also, same for front, stock is 245/40/19, can I fit a 255/40/19 or 255/35/19?
Which combo would be ideal?
Thanks!

Bridgestone Potenza RE11 is the stickiest tire you can find in 19" as long as you don't require all seasons. No tire will really hold all the torque from these cars but these tires are highly regarded in the modded car community. They won't get you killed if it rains like drag radials would either.

The RE-11 seems to be a favorite among the supercharged Corvette / CTSV crowd & Porsches who have 19s stock. Those with 600+ whp say the RE-11s really put it down well. I can say the RE-11 has quite a bit more traction than the PS2 but I know that isn't the same tire as the PSS. On the first drive we could tell there was a lot less intervention by the traction control in the lower gears. Less flashy triangle light = more go!
On my brother's car there are Pole Position S-04's on the front and the two sets work together well. The car is 100% street use as a CL65 just isn't a track (road course) car. For straight line acceleration the RE-11's deliver every time. Treadwear wasn't really a factor since the car isn't driven even 5k miles a year but they do seem to wear as well as any other high performance tire.

You could fit 265/35 or maybe 275/35 at the front (depending on offset).
