Yes the car is up for sale, decided to do something else. I am only asking $85,000. I have owned it a over year and am the second owner. I spent nearly 90k on it and almost 50k more in mods. Has everything Speedriven offers except the stand alone computer and engine build (just rods). It does have the killer chiller, larger intercoolers, Tial BOVs, intake, exhaust, trunk tank, suspension module, custom tune and all services are done.
Fresh plugs, brakes (rotors and pads), oil and the AC system was just overhauled and has a MB 2 year warranty on the AC. Car is in near flawless condition. Tires are like new. Has a one off carbon diffuser and front lip spoiler. Also has the carbon mirrors and wing. It is a designo edition in graphite color. Car runs and drives to absolute perfection. Needs NOTHING. Has 28K miles. Built in K40 radar system with jammers. Car is really a special piece. I have added a remote start to the car as well. Has both key fobs, medical kit, owners manual.
Car has the 1500hp transmission, Quailfe LSD, custom exhaust, custom intake and has proven itself to be completely bulletproof.
Car has a stand alone boost control with a pump gas setting and race gas setting. On MS109 it makes 840 rwhp and 880 rwhq. This is the first W216 in the workd to get all these mods including the very nice Borg Indy turbos.
With the simple change to E85 ($4500) the car will make 1000rwhp and 1000rwtq. With better rods and stand alone engine management it will do apx 1500 hp/tq.
The car is quite special and gets attention everywhere but its when you take someone for a ride that they really realize just how amazing the car is.
I am prety much giving it away at this price!
Have the title in hand and its full service history and carfax.

No dents, no door dings, no rust. Never ever seen rain. Car lives in a climate controlled garage.
Car is fully ceramic coated and has ceramic coated windows. It is detailed every single week.
You will not find a better example of a W216 CL65 or one with more power. Car was a one of two car and with its modifications it is a one of one. The Carbon nose and tail are the only ones in existence.
If you want the best W216 CL65 out there you can not do any better.

I am blown away I have not gotten a single offer on the damn thing. Just took it for a romp and the car just runs and drives spectacular! This thing is the bargain of the century for someone with the means. Needs nothing and does everything superb.

That's because time is not on your side. You have a cool old car that's getting older and your well 40k overpriced maybe 50k. Crazy.

You'll never sell it based on money spent on mods and it in fact hurts the car.

I say this because of the market prices and your need to move along.

Great looking car. Very nice color combo. Did you ever take it to the drag strip? Did you ever make any kind of acceleration videos? If you want the mods to bring in value, it's got to perform. Have we seen anything? I apologize if I missed it.

You can buy a hell of a lot of car for $80k and one that will significantly outperform the CL with better mod support and cult following. You may be sitting on it for a long time at that price but each day it sits it's worth less. You can almost see a CL depreciate. I took a bath on mine as do all CL owners.

When there are lessor cars still selling for nearly 60k the car is not 40-50k overpriced. The car has perfect history and mods. I know you LOVE to stir the pot but really you are of no help.
If the car was box stock its still a $70-75k car because its not a vase wood trimmed interior car. Its a Designo. Its a two owner car with every reciept since it was born. Yes I know I will never recoupe the money spent to mod it but I should be able to recoupe some since MOST owners want to add those parts anyway. I am just surprised someone hasnt even asked "Hey, will you take 70k?" Because thats what some other non designo unmodded ones are going for.
Hell, even the insurance company agrees its worth 110k and should something happen to it thats what I would get.

Yes there are videos and proof. On 100* day the car runs 11.1 like clockwork. I know I will take a loss and really I dont need to sell it. Wife is begging me not to. lol I know its the fastest W216 out and its condition is just spectacular. I just want someone else to enjoy it. I hardly use it and am buying a bigger house here and the house in Maui needs some work so it just makes the most sense to sell.
But with zero bites I am thinking of just selling the Lingenfelter and doing the E85 fuel system in the Benz and running high 10s all day and just enjoy the car.
It gives me such a big smile every time I drive it and wherever it goes people just go gaga over it. Plus its a great sleeper.
Its a tough decision. I love the car and always wanted to do this build but life has changed a bit and the car no longer makes sense to own. I dont wanna sell it but am. I know I will take a loss but I am not going to take a stupid loss on it.

It probably doesn't make any sense to try and make it faster since the support is just not there. Even with a boat load of power you are not getting great results. With more mods, you will be paying for someone to do R&D as you were the first go round and the results could be disastrous. Someone that might be willing to invest in your car for the mods will want a truly fast car; however, they can get something much faster for the money you have in the CL.

You may be looking at a high $60k sale price to move the car. It pains me to say but the V12 cars just don't sell well when they are out of warranty and a 5 plus year old car.

Listen man, we've all been telling you for months.. when you thought it was worth 125k...there is zero market for your car. None. Nobody buys out of warranty 5 year old v12 Benz. Nobody buys a heavily modded v12 Benz. Nobody buys a failed project car from someone and pays top dollar for it. These cars sit for months or years In the wholesale market. Forget what you see retail prices at. Value is what someone will pay. They do not move. Designo doesn't matter. Color doesn't matter. Mods do not ducking matter! You picked the worst depreciating car on the planet and dump a ton of hobby money on it. There is a reason you have had no offers... Nobody sees a value anywhere close to what it's worth to you. Either stop promoting the sale and posting about how amazing it is to you, and you can't believe no-one had offered you unrealistic money for it, or keep it forever cause it's got value to you. IF someone offers you 50s take it. Your car will be worth less than 30k I the next 2 years if you follow the trend from the w215 65s. In 2012 , low milage 06 cl65s were going for mid 30s. These are facts. You can choose to believe them or live I fantasy land. My brother has an 08 40th anniversary cl65. Over 300k new, not worth selling now. So we'll keep it forever. We've all dealt with this. You need to come to terms with it.
