That is a rediculous price for a scratched used part considering the full carbon new ones with the proper aero (whatever they are caller) parts. BUT it says they all fit the same from 07-13 so I am not sure how muc difference there is between the 63 and 65 but I also have a vendor I need to email as they are bringing me one in that I ordered about a month or so ago. Its full CF and about 1/4 that price.
I still dont get why RW Carbon said it wouldnt fit or else I would have sent them a grand a long time ago for theirs.

I've had my eye on a CL65 and decided to peruse this section to get my feet wet. OMG, SVT, what an incredible car, from one Designo Graphite owner to another. I thought I had a hi end audio system.....holy keerist, man, you really know how to roll. I have my eye on this thread to see how she comes out with all the goodies. And please, add pics as you can. Also curious to see where all the audio equipment is going.

Good job, man.

I certainly have nowhere near the money in mine you have in yours, however, I paid top dollar for it (its still under MB ELW!, too), sunk way more money into it than anywhere near what the car is worth market-wise and what I could sell it for. I don't regret one damn bit either. Kudos on the car and the fortitude. You're my new hero.

Good job, man.
I am a picture ***** and there will be many as well as a full stereo build on DIYMA. The amps were going to go in the spare tire area but because the Killer Chiller is going there that has changed plans. They will go under the rear deck on a floating platform and the subwoofers will be in the rear corners angled a bit forward and inward. The rest of the speakers will be hidden in their factory locations save for the front tweeters which are HUGE. Will make some cusom A pillar pods for those. The Helix Director should be able to hide in the factory ashtray location....I hope. lol

I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. Also, please post a link for the DIYMA thread, or some direction on how to find it. I had to add pods for the mids in the A pillar; well, actually kind of A pillar kind of dash hybrid. The mids I used work best on-axis so had some challenges. Put the tweets in sail panels, and after a custom build on those, turned out well. I also did a floating rack under the rear deck, but since I wanted to keep the spare with clear access, I did sub's enclosed against the rear seats facing rearward. I didn't want to cut metal to modify the rear deck for venting into the cabin, but it worked out okay regardless. MOST interface and processors went where stock amp was and DRC in ashtray area. I'm looking forward to see how you work through some of the install challenges and what your sub placement looks like. That Sinfoni gear looks outrageous. I am certainly envious. Incredible stuff.

Looking forward to reading more about the Speedriven build and what can be done with the V12's. My tech loves them and is hoping I end up with one. Until then, I'll learn and live vicariously through you........

My CL just got a stable mate today! Friend had this car I loved and really wanted my 2002 Corvette so we traded straight across! 2003 AMG E55 with all the goodies like new suspension, full custom exhaust, larger intercoolers, larger IC pumps, trunk tank, SC pullies and a few other odds and ends. Does 556rwhp and 700rwtq! Car is a blast while the CL65 is waiting to come back home.

Happy day! Got my CL65!-13962518_949277145181299_808232781701537588_n_zpsfnhtkrn6.jpg

Thanks for the update.

Are all parts built together now or do you only need some software tweeks?

By the way, do you get the Speedriven Standalone ECU or more conservative custom ECU-Tune?

Good luck!

No idea.

I am using a custom tune. I am awaiting some evolution of the standalone before I do it. That will be with the built motor and 9" rear though. Thats assuming I at some point in the next week get my car back.

I've been sitting quietly along with others waiting for good news? I would have thought the stand alone was the hold up, now learning that's not even the issue or included. At this point, what does your build consist of? Did you end up going with custom turbos and manifold or upgraded stockers? I think most of their work has been with the W215s and W230s, maybe the newer W216 software is different beyond a basic flash. I can't imagine waiting as long as you have been since you have other plans for the car. Hopefully the end product far exceeds your expectations.

I hope so as well. There were turbo changes and then the W216 is different enough from the W215 that they had to make custom manifolds and I know that takes time too. Then the transmission changes and various other hold ups.

A bit of confusion here- the W215 and 220 (CL and S) of the previous generation are practically identical. The same is true of the W222 and latest S (C217) coupes, for example. It's kind of a Mercedes "thing". It seems like everything forward of the mid-pipe is the same.

Somehow, though, the 216 was just different enough that we had to make new manifolds. That means slightly different plumbing and exhaust location, too- basically, this transformed from a "package build" to something more like an R&D build, and the build time has about doubled. We're getting to the end soon, though- stay tuned!

On turbos of this size, yes. Multiple billet-wheel builds (740-780WHP, depending on fuel) but not like this.

I really wish there was. Anything I would be happy with. I was told I would have regular updates but its been nearly two weeks. Phone calls not answered, texts not returned, voicemails not returned. Just nothing. At this point I am pissed and have a flight booked for Thursday to go up there. I have a friend in the area thats off on Wednesday that is supposed o drop by to see what the hell is up. I understand crap happens and some custom **** has to be made but when I tell one of my customers I will update on a certain day and send pictures I damn well do it. I dont dodge their calls and just ignore their requests. I follow through which is why I am the only 5 star shop in this podunk town. Being put off due to countless excuses gets old. Yeah, I have a crap ton of **** in my life going on right now too but I still do my damn job and being the owner I stay on top of my customers builds and keep them informed.
I dont wish to crap talk Speedriven or Joe as this is a dream build and hes a good dude but I can only be pushed so far and when I am ignored all together it pisses me off beyond belief. I have missed so many important events already and have already spent grands for the Texas Shootout on Nov11th but the car should have been completed months ago. It keeps getting shoved to the side. I dont care that a dyno was installed or a car had to be ready for barret Jackson, I prepaid almost 20 grand to make sure mine was ready and it just keeps getting shoved to the side. I am mad enough to just go load the car Thursday and have it completed elsewhere. I have already pre paid for this next event, bought friends tickets from around the country all for this event and if it isnt here they and I will have serious issues. I want my seamn car back.

No excuse for not returning calls not even if someone died or whatever the reason is.
