CL 63 Armored - 2009 - 8 k miles - Comand Issues
Hi, first of all i would like to say that its a pleasure to be a member of MBWorld Forum. Impressive how diversified is the information that we can found here. I bought one month ago one CL63 AMG 2009 (8 k miles with original tires) from a good friend. The car is armored because thats basically the only way you can have an expensive car in Sao Paulo and not be afraid to drive it. I already lost 2 friends killed and decided that will only buy armored cars since then. Its been very common in Brazil and we are already the major market in armored cars.
Changing subject i would like to share what is going on with my car and try to see if somebody can give me any light on that. The car has original rear view camera and starting last week every time that i change from P or D to R the camera is not working anymore and also the Comand is reseting after 10 seconds when i moved from P or D to R. The former owner had unlocked the DVD and included TV receptor but i already asked to change and get back to the original settings. Does anyone knows what could be happening? Thanks a lot for any insight. Any part for this car in Brazil is really really expensive (e.g. a rotor could cost up to USD 7k) and i would like to avoid spend much money with this fix.

I'm about to make you very happy. Test your Aux battery. It's buried up behind the rear seat.
They go dead. I'll bet you it's at about 4 volts. When they go bad you get these types of issues. Good news is they're $50.
