VIN series for the 303 CL55 AMG's imported to the U.S in 2001
I'm going to guess that this doesn't really have an answer unless you worked at the factory. As I understand it there were 303 CL55 AMG's imported to the U.S for M.Y 2001. I own one of them. I was interested to see what those VIN's were but here is my guess: The 12th-17th VIN digits just indicate what comes off of the production line (ANY model in that year). So there is not a consecutive series of this model where one can see where you VIN stacks up amongst the 303 cars. As a simple (just making up examples here) 01012 could be a CL55 AMG, and 01013 could be another model.
Consecutive series aside, would be great to know what the lowest VIN and the highest VIN was for this model and model year.
Any thoughts?
