Good morning Mercedes family

I need help identifying a couple of wires for my install.
I'm installing a Pioneer system.
I'm removing all factory setup...not using the CAN Bus as I'm running my speakers thru a Kenwood 4-channel amp and an Alpine 1-channel amp for my sub.
I already removed the rear sub as I will not be utilizing that anymore.
I found my speaker leads in the trunk from factory amp.
I already have...
Battery Lead 12+
Ground
Ignition switch (Accessory...tapped from the cigarette lighter)
Illumination (tapped from the cigarette lighter)
Parking Brake signal (grounded with the factory radio ground)
Remote - I will run from the Pioneer HU to the trunk unless there's a wire already in the trunk I can use
Speed Signal - HELP NEEDED
Steering Wheel Control - HELP NEEDED...I have a PAC SWI-RC that I'm going to connect. I didn't get the SWI-CAN II as I'll not be using any of the CAN connections

Please guide me thru how I to find the Speed Signal wire and also the steering wheel control leads

Any help is truly appreciated.

I have searched for days trying to find something...NOTHING!

It seems that you are very confused in how the system works general. First off if your not using can then your not going to be able to get your steering wheel controls to work as they are sent thru the can. You would need a can decoder period to make that work with your aftermarket head unit.

Second thing that might be helpful is the factory speakers don't work via the can. There hard wired to the amp. Which the audio components work via the Most fiber optics. If you want the system to sound right / function well you should use a high end installer that can set up correctly.

you are very correct on the 'confused' remark. I had thought it'd be a typical swap head unit, run cables to amps and connect speakers and sub but IO was very wrong.

After further research and your response, I've decided to venture into purchasing an installation adapter to help ease the confusion.

Is there one in particular you recommend I purchase?
