Front bumper no longer available, suggestions?

My 2005 CL 65 bumper was damaged. Took it to a very good body shop that is State Farm premium shop and they called MB dealer for parts. Front bumper is no longer available anywhere nor is front mesh or the screen around the fog light. There are 2 screens showing in US and dealer is contacting MBUSA to see if dealer that has the $35 part will sell it.

I was told to try a local bumper remanufactured and they said that they can repair the bumper by welding the plastic with a slightly thicker bead behind the bumper for added strength so they would warrant the repair for life.

Anyone have a source for parts, perhaps used? Body shop cautioned that the "yellow" plastic used until mid 2000's was prone to be brittle and that all manufacturers dropped it in favor of a newer compound so a used bumper may not be without problems.

It is looking like getting the bumper remanufactured is mom only choice so far. I see used mesh/screen on ebay.

We are pretty bummed. Any quality aftermarket bumpers available? Go with rebuild? Advice appreciated.

Google search, ebay, or repair yours. I had a front bumper cover repaired on my old CL 600 and you could not tell it was ever damaged. The repair held up perfectly for years.
