Auxiliary Battery Malfunction 2009 W216
Hello,
I have a 2009 Mercedes CL-63 (W216) and it showed a message "Auxiliary Battery Malfunction." Where is this auxiliary battery located and do I have another battery inside the truck area?
Thank you for your support in this matter.

The one under the hood (starter battery is a regular size MB battery. I seen on youtube for an S-63 AMG there is a very tiny 12 volt battery under the dashboard drivers side door panel. I'm just wondering if ny 2009 CL-63 AMG has three batteries; starter (under the hood), consumer (in the trunk behind the rear seats), and one under the drivers-side panel/dashboard.
Thank you Xabo for letting me know the location of the consumer battery in the trunk.

I removed the tire cover and back seat cover inside the trunk and found out that my auxiliary battery is NOT inside the trunk. It must be on the drivers side under the foot panel.

Does any one know if will my memory be saved if I remove disconnect the negative terminal form the Starter Battery (Engine Bay) first, then remove the auxiliary battery (Part # A00000 0004039) from under the drivers side dash board ? I just want to do this right the first time. Thanks for all your help with my "auxiliary battery malfunction" problems.

I purchased a new auxiliary battery from the dealership (A0000000004029) and replaced it. My W216 auxiliary battery was located under the driver's side dashboard (outside panel). It took me 30 minutes and as is well. I had to disconnect the NEG terminal from the starter battery before I replaced the auxiliary battery..
