A "yeah, right" thread on the BMW M5 race stories forum:

This guy claimes he beat a supercharged CL55:

Oh, and here, he claims to have beaten a 911 Turbo...what's sad is how many of the M car guys are taking him at his word.

Anyone in or near Boca Raton, Florida wanna call him out?

Well, he's saying he's up for it...any takers?

Come on, guys, represent!

Here's the challenge:

I would love to race one of these guys anytime (CL55 since that is the one I am "lying" about). My boys will also want to get in on the action with their Bimmers. Just let me know when we can get this done!!!

While I don't care at all for BMW owners, Improv, I must say, dude you took that guy to pieces!

The way you weblink evidential information in your posts makes the other guy look more of an idiot, what are you a lawyer?

Any tips for a first year Law student?

Thanks, Bilal!

No, I'm not a lawyer, but it's funny that you mention that: I am very seriously considering going back to school, specifically law school. I'm in the tech industry, and the future doesn't look very bright here!!

Improviz, just wait eight months, that usually seems like the cycle for the tech industry. Still waiting for that killer app we were promised in 2000.

The December 2004 Motor Trend has an interesting article about the new V10 M5 compared to the E55.

They estimate the E55 will still be faster due to the huge torque difference the V8 Kompressor has.

People keep forgetting, that torque difference of 200Nm is made up through 2 extra gears, a 3.06 final ratio and slightly higher HP....

Here he is guys, the M5 owner! We got a live one!!!

Now will you do what your previous brethren have done and convert us AMG fans with statistics and slalom numbers?

In all honesty, welcome to MBWorld, tread carefully, its too easy to walk on the dark side, wise one

Thanks for the welcome!! I didn't come here to start anything or convert any of you. I just came here to clarify the things being said about me.

Anytime.

I'm all for this BMW M vs AMG competitiveness, but I fear after reading that thread its turned out to be: " Man I'll smoke your car anytime, anyplace", "yeah, well I'll smoke your car if you show up here", "yeah well, why don't you show up man".

LOL.

I'd love to see a showdown on video, but please for the love of mankind set a date and turn up!

I will turn up after the holiday to face a CL55, a CLK55, or a C55 since all of these claim to beat the M5. I never claimed to be faster than the CL55. I beat one when a few important variables were in my favor like a great launch and the fact that he was on 20's. I told the story as it happened and after 3 months Improviz showed up and called me a liar. Would I race one? Yes, but none have responded yet.

If you're not a liar, why do you keep lying?

The challenge I originally made, and the one which you accepted, clearly stated CL55, OR SL55, OR E55:

Do tell, because I've already posted an invite on the MB forum. Let's see you back it up, because I don't believe it.

Oh, and just for good measure, would you also care to extend the invitation to the Turbo Porsche forums as well? This should be good for a laugh.
There it was, in black and white, after which you responded that you would, and then launched a series of taunts about AMGers not having the ***** to show up and race you in the following posts:

and finally, when an AMGer does agree to show up, you chicken out and don't show!!

Yeah, I'll bet you will!!

No, you only claimed to have beaten one in a 0-110 race after getting a 1.5 carlength lead on him at launch.

As I already pointed out to you here, the CL55 AMG and the E55 AMG have the SAME MOTOR, SAME GEARING, AND SAME DRIVELINE--IDIOT. So, IF you can run with an CL55 from 0-110, THEN you can do it with an E55! Are you too stupid to understand basic logic, or is this your last refuge because (fortunately for your BS facade) no CL55 owner--yet--has decided to waste time blowing you away??

Key-RIST, you are a dense one.

AND you are a serious CHICKEN!!! <= Is that your homepage??

And speaking of lying, how about this:

When he backed out of the race with SGC's E55 tonight, apk1013 claimed he "has to be somewhere" tonight, but he seems to have had plenty of time to post on the MBWorld forums:

Adam is right. Please keep posts civil. This forum is for those who are serious about our CL55's. I did not buy mine to race on a track, much less a public street. The old M5 is an amazing automobile and the new one will be even better. The CL 55 is built for a different market and purpose.
