I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A BOLT THAT I NEED

i have searched 2 diffrent MB parts dealers and cant seem to find one of 3 bolts that hold down the heat shield that cover the down pipe under the hood. its an E10 torxs bolt. anyone have an idea where i can purchase online? dont want to go to dealer in person. thanks John

had to go to local mercedes dealer. apparently are hard to get otherwise. they didnt have them in stock but they had some that were just a bit longer in the same size diameter. all you need is the right diameter E10 size since the length doesnt matter as they screw in and then open to air.

also, regarding your downpipe that you installed, did you feel like you ever had an exhaust leak in either the down pipe or mid pipe? i have re-fitted the pipes twice and seem to hear as if theres a leak. noticeable mostly on cold start. thanks John

my dealer told me that whatever screws they have are what's originally on the car. oh well, the search continues.

and in regards to the exhaust leak, what did it sound like? so far I've had no issues with mine.

well that bolt is originally FROM the car. its one of 3 bolts on the heat shield the car came with. isn't that what you're looking for?

the downpipe or midepipe sounds like it has a leak. do you get a loud sounding exhaust under the hood on cold start? sounds louder under hood than through tail pipe. let me know what yours sounds like. Thanks John
