Exhaust question

Hey all, new to the turbo cars so bit of a newb question in regars to exhaust. I have the 17 cla 45 with AMG exhaust. Now i plan on a tune and downpipe at least but also like the armytrix exhaust. Is it worth the money for the exhaust if i want loud or is just the downpipe with AMG exhaust be loud enough? And i see the armytrix system for 2800....does that come with the downpipe? I see downpipes by themselves, downpipes with midpipes and this system. Help. Please. Lol

Actually just saw its 3800 with the downpipe for tye armytrix set up. Lotta cash. Lol. But the prices really range on the downpipes, is there really that much difference between brands? Looked at weistec, AMS, renntech and agency power and obviously armytrix.

If youre looking for power, don't get a catback exhaust. they barely net any gains for our cars. The downpipe is the real power adder. IF you just want to increase the loudness, then you can go ahead and get a catback. However, most of the brands all sound the same. Not a real good selection imo.

Thanks! Ya im looking for power as well as sound. Would like to be around 450bhp after the tune and downpipe. The agency power pipe is consiberably less than the renntech and a few others so thats why i ask. So no real power gains over a full exhaust with downpipe vs just a downpipe?

Probably no real power gains with or without the catback. The AMG exhaust is already pretty free-flowing, which is why upgrading it doesnt really net any more power. I've seen between +3 and +5 hp between different brands. And they all cost $1,000+. Totally not worth imo. I'm sitting at almost 500 bhp with the Alpha Performance Dyno Tune, weistec downpipe, Alpha Intake, and Weistec blow off valve. 0-60 is around 3.5 sec and 1/4 mile is high 11s.

P.S. Alpha Performance Tune netted me around 30 more horsepower and 50 more torque over Weistec's tune.

Also, I'm not a fan of the piggy back tunes. Most of them are more on the conservative side.

Ok cool, thanks for the info. Your set up sounds pretty sweet. How long have yiu been running that? Reliable still? I live near eurocharged so definitely considering them
For the tune and heard good things about them. Although your numbers are impressive

Have you actually ran your car at the track? I have the AMS intake and forge blow off valve. Im going to get the AMS downpipe but still can't decide what tune I want. I'm going back and forth between Renntech, AMS, and Eurocharged.

Wow, nice numbers. Can our cars handle that much power reliably?
