I recently bought my '16 CLA45 back in February after my cammed Charger Scat Pack was stolen. I did some homework on 4 cylinders out on the market since I wanted something cheaper for the next few years as a daily. Luckily for me, the CLA45 was the one I wanted. I didn't have many options to begin with around my area in Metro Detroit. I decided after purchasing the vehicle I wanted to wrap it as soon as possible. I wrapped my previous vehicles like the BMW 335xi Pure Stage 2 FBO and my cammed Charger Scat Pack I had. I decided the forged internals and DCT was the sticking points for me. I was able to catch up on maintenance pretty quick doing the oil change, coolant flush, top off power steering fluid, transmission flush, and swap spark plugs. So far the CLA45 has a downpipe and a tune by Nostrum Energy. There is plans to go with the Pure 550 turbo, TCU flash, and few other goodies to make this daily a little more fun than it is right now. The car is dipped with dip armor right now. I am planning to take it off after the spring to put either Violet Metallic or purple/black iridescent vinyl wrap on the car.
As for the reason Nostrum tuned my car is due the fact we have a sponsorship in place. Nostrum is currently working on a new HPFP for us CLA45 guys and gals. Right now they are working on an EA888 based on fitment to see if this will be plausible based on the 90 degree vs 45 degree angle. This is exciting news!! You have no idea how happy I am that AMS will no longer hold a monopoly on a hpfp for the CLA45 AMG. Hopefully Norstrum prices thier hpfp a littler more reasonably.
