Friday of last week I traded in my 2014 CLA 45 AMG for a 2021 AMG CLA45. First time I have ever stuck with the exact same make and model of a car.
I have been cross-shopping and almost bought a 2021 M2 Competition a couple of weeks ago but the deal was just not there.
I negotiated MSRP -10% ($71,410 -10% = $64,269) as my buy price and was given a generously fair price for my trade-in. I picked this car off the lot, it was the only car in a wide area that had the options I wanted. I didn't get everything I'd have liked and a few things I would not have spent money on but it was a compromise. I had been looking for the exact options I wanted for about a month and only found one other car that was close and it was way out on the East Cost. I did not want to go through ordering and waiting as I do not think I would have gotten the same deal on price.
