Yep, I would definitely have accepted the paint protection package with the magno paint. It looks so good, but I know the first paint chip or door ding would ruin me. I'm thoroughly jealous of all of you. Only about 2 weeks to go though, gets to the VPC today.
lol. I have 2015 GLA with matte finish and it has held up pretty good with scratches; not too many and not real visible. I still plan to take it to a professional shop so they can check the so called paint protection out. Dealerships always trying to save a buck. Yours will be here soon. Crazy ours were built on same day and ended up on separate ships a few weeks apart.
I've no idea what logic they use for the loading process. I have a friend who just retired from the military in Germany. He bought a BMW i4 to bring back here and ours are both on the same ship. It's like they just grab whatever's sitting at Bremerhaven at random.
Hello everyone, I just joined the forum so I could post on this thread. My CLA 45 just shipped from the Brunswick VPC yesterday!
My situation is a bit different than the ones I've seen so far. I'm a relatively new MB employee and am getting my vehicle through the employee lease program. There's a website for employees that lists available vehicles sorted by model and arrival estimates (2-week windows). AMG models are just as rare on the employee site as they are at dealers. I trolled the website for 2 months before I saw a CLA 45 pop up and jumped on it. There's no way to configure, what you see listed is what you get. If you see a car you might want, you click on it, look over the options on it, and click on the lease button if you want it. Then you wait.
I reserved my vehicle on 7/5. It reached the VPC on or around 7/25 and shipped out yesterday (8/9). The original estimate of arrival was 8/24 so I'm ahead of schedule. I got an email today that says I will receive paperwork for the lease in 2 weeks. I'm not sure, but it seems like my car will be sitting at the dealer while I wait on paperwork. I don't do anything with the dealer. All paperwork is handled by MB financial services. When it's complete, I show up at the dealer with a form and the give me the car. At least that's how I currently understand it.
Can't wait to get my CLA 45 and looking forward to hearing more about your experiences. @ECUCarolina , your 45 is exactly the color I would have chosen (if able). Kind of jealous until mine arrives.

I'm officially a CLA 45 owner. I had to cancel my pickup yesterday; long story.
Rescheduled for today… I can't put into words how I feel.
My dealership and salesperson made it a remarkable experience.
