Has anyone leased a CLA?

I am curious to what your monthly payment is. I plan to put $5000 down.

Anyone know an estimate as to how much the monthly price will be? I will drive it under 10K miles per year.

bigigg 09-18-2013 02:20 PM

My guess.. and this is only bc im comparing the price to the C class( I've leased 2) A cla with options that's msrp is 40k with 5k down id say 350/month.. I think for the rest of the year these cars are going to sell like crazy.

MJ50 09-18-2013 05:01 PM

will know by friday... :P

bigigg 09-20-2013 07:31 AM

Found out some pricing yesterday from a friend who works at a Benz dealer.. He says a 40K CLA, with minimum down(taxes/fees) will lease for 500/month. I think that's crazy! Also that's mostly based on hype and anticipation that there will be a mob of people breaking down the doors at the dealerships this weekend to check out the new car. I believe closer to Christmas the prices will drop significantly. There will be plenty of disappointed buyers walking out of dealerships expecting a good deal, but that's the best thing to happen to help drive lease prices down. I'm debating on a cla 45, I was going to order one if i like the cla once i see it in person. Worst case ill transfer my deposit and get another E350. Any1 leasing a CLA anytime soon please post up there "deal".

heres an interesting thread about lease prices from another forum.. http://www.mercedescla.org/forum/5-c...a-c-class.html

bigigg 09-20-2013 10:37 AM

http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/specia...rent&class=CLA

ok this answers it.. base model $329/month $3,623 total due, with $2,500 cap cost reduction 10,000 miles/year, soo $400/month for people who have no $ to put down.

joshg1001 09-23-2013 11:12 PM

There were dealer specials for leasing a C class for 299 a month. Im sure there is something in the 200s if you wait

Anh1 09-25-2013 01:05 AM

I went to local benz dealer today. Sale guy told me they can't to special lease with 329/month, just because they don't have enough cars to sell.
He told me there is 1 available in next week, MSRP 39k. he wants 42k ($3k over MSRP) for it. we sat down and do some calculation. I said I would like 12k miles a year, 30months. put down $5k. he came up with $720 a month. I have average credit score.
I told him I could even get E550 with that price. then he said, E class isn't hot, CLA is hot, blah blah. He even told me his cousin lease a Mini for $500 a month, MSRP for that Mini is $30k. WTF... then he ask me what do I think. I told him your cousin is idiot and walk out....
He call me back and try to talk me out for lease on C class. I told him I have 2 C class already. both were paid off with cash. reason why I want a CLA is I don't drive much any more. So lease would be better choice. after some dealing, he said maybe he could do $550 a month. I was like "what the hell, $720/month for $39k car, now $550. This guy must think I'm stupid". then I walked out.
It was just unbelievable.

Germancar1 09-25-2013 01:18 AM

I really hate reading stories like that. Dealers/salesmen just don't realize that for every one they sell like that, they lose 2-3 more. He should have just made you a good deal at a fair price and got that sale. The flip side is that if some people weren't so stupid with their money, dealers wouldn't be able to charge ridiculous prices for a car like a CLA. It isn't rare, limited production or anything like that and once the supply catches up they will be 100s of them in stock all across America. Just retarded practices by dealers and MBUSA really can't do anything about it.

it was funny when he said "well, E class isn't hot, CLA is hot on market" and told me story with mini lease for 500$.
seems like he just try to through number out there to see if anyone be that "stupid" and take it.

bigigg 09-25-2013 07:01 AM

Its a great looking car, but lets be honest a regular non AMG CLA is nothing special.. these dealers think they have something amazing on there hands. He wanted 3k over msrp? F them! $720/month.. even $550.. whats he crazy. He was trying to rip you off and hope you would take the bait. Your putting 5k down, that car should have been $400/month max. Im glad you walked out laughing at him. I hope these dealers get a nice surprise in a few months when there stuck with all these cars and have to discount the prices..

Germancar1 09-25-2013 11:06 AM

^ Exactly! All dealers aren't doing this though, thank goodness. MBUSA will tighten the supply on a new vehicle before they discount it too heavily. These will trickle in for the first 60-90 days.

Went to MB Charlotte today and drove a CLA250. A good ride, but for the figures below, absolutely not -

36 months, 10K/yr, $3800 down - MSRP'd 41K plus fees = $44K. Not a dime lowered = $577/month

bigigg 09-26-2013 06:46 AM

Wait.. soo the 3800 down is actually cap cost reduction, and the tax/fees are getting rolled into the msrp? And they still want 577/month.. F THAT! You can get a 60k E class for 577/month. I really hope there aren't people that stupid out there paying these prices.

DaCeptak0n 09-26-2013 10:35 AM

They can't keep the cars on the lot. The one I drove last night got sold this morning and he just sent me another spec sheet for one that became available - 38K and still said MSRP only or come in and we can talk about it.

saraojo 09-26-2013 11:37 AM

Some ppl will pay that much I guess. Whether they like the car so much or they don't care if they aren't getting a good deal.

Germancar1 09-26-2013 01:28 PM

Give it about 8-12 months, you'll be able to get a deal on these if Mercedes produces too many. Now if they keep supply tight maybe not, but I can't see not getting something off these in a 8 months or maybe even less. This is not some limited edition car.

bigigg 09-26-2013 01:38 PM

By the end of the year the prices will be at a "deal"

kg61201 09-26-2013 07:56 PM

Those are ridiculous lease payments. I just ordered one and the price with the options I wanted came out to $36800, and I expect the payments to run about $370+- with about 3500 down. If it comes out much more than that, they can keep it.

kg61201 10-07-2013 02:16 PM

Looks like some good lease deals on Autotrader.com

Chris796 10-07-2013 08:14 PM

Rode by the dealership today, they had a red one with the P1 package and a Edition 1 outside, red one had a big '' LEASE THIS CAR FOR $329/mo for 36 MONTHS'' on the side. little said with 10% down. Not a bad deal.

Chris796 10-08-2013 07:34 PM

LOL

Went in today to talk about their Edition 1.

$599/month, 36 months, 15k mile /yr.

For that I'll get a new E -Class.

I can't believe theres people out there paying these ridiculous prices.

Anh1 10-08-2013 08:56 PM

yea. CLA price seem stupid crazy high everywhere.
you can lease a C class for 299+ tax. 328i for 260+ tax. or 528 xDrive for 430+tax.
I stopped looking for CLA already and got a 328i instead.
@chris: i got a ducati 795 also (795 engine w 696 frame, asian version). nice to see someone has the same hobby. :)

fabbrisd1 10-08-2013 09:11 PM

Those dealers were trying to maximize their back end profit - other dealers are trying to maximize their front end by upside charge over sticker - best deal at the moment would be 10K mile lease, retail sticker, 67% residual 36 months/30K miles, standard money factor from a straight dealer.

+1.. I drive a 2012 E350 , I was interested in the cla (mainly looks).. after sitting in the cla I realized that would be a major down grade.

DaCeptak0n 10-11-2013 12:20 PM

Charlotte MB - Got a call on an Edition 1 Gray with Black leather and Green piping (fully loaded) and she told me MSRP only...

I called my other dealer in NJ and he's willing to take 1K off MSRP...but lease prices are well over $500 with 4K down..
