Can CLA250 Hood be raised to 90 Degree Position

Can CLA250 Hood be raised to 90 Degree Position
Hi: I have 2016 CLA250 with hood without hydraulic lifters only mechanical hinges. Does anyone know how to raise the hood to 90 degree position. I am trying to lift the engine out of its bay vertically and the hood is in my way. I do not prefer to take the hood off its hinges. Thank you.
My hood does not have the hydraulic lifters but it has mechanical hinges. The photos shows slots, however, I can not figure it out if the hood can be prompted to the 90 degree position or I should remove the hood completely from its bay.It is unusual hood that I have not seen being around Mercedes for 40 years.
