2019 2.0 Turbo 4 Fuel Requirements
 

Hello all, new member here. A good friend of mine just yesterday purchased a new 2019 CLA 250 with a 2.0 Turbo 4 engine. He is from Asia and I helped him through the purchasing process. He is also completely clueless on anything automotive. I specifically asked the sales person if the car can burn regular 87 octane gasoline and she said yes and that the engine would adapt and power would drop a bit but not really noticeably. The owner's manual says the engine requires minimum 91 octane. Which is correct? Thanks in advance.

Nobody? What fuel do you guys use?

Stick with 91 my dude. lower octane means you'll lose power, and the engine won't run at its most efficient.
