Spoiler for CLA45?
I have noticed on the Edition 1 CLA45 a black spoiler. I phoned my local dealer and it is $500 + shop time to install! Seems a little excessive for what is literally a black piece that glues on the back?

What are people's thoughts about the spoiler? Yay or Nay?

The add on is not needed for downforce or lowering the Cd. The MB technical video showing the drag minimization mechanisms in action suggest that the basic shape of the car plus the rear diffuser is already optimal WITHOUT any addon spoiler being added on top of the existing lip spoiler in the trunklid sheetmetal.

I suspect the add-on spoiler is just a styling value option for customers looking for a different, more customized, look.

IDK what the shipping to CAN would be, but check this out. Comes painted to your liking. Use 3M VHB tape to install it yourself.

Not sure I like it painted….I like the C63 black deck lid spoiler aftermarket add on

Just search cla spoiler on ebay, they have unpainted, carbon fiber, all would be less than what your dealer is charging with install provided shipping doesn't kill it.

I'm getting mine from dealer, but there's no install charge so they say and having it color matched.

Guys, please don't go ebay shopping for you car for a spoiler that says CLA "style" etc... Buy OEM or a known name brand. The other fit and look like crap, not worth saving 100 bucks.

Thanks! Yeah, seems a lot of the long time OG's are moving to the CLA.. I myself am debating on getting one...

The dealer here coded the OME Spoiler for $475 + tax and not paint. Where you ordered yours?
