Wow that was fast! Midrange gains look insane, 60-70hp/TQ gains in the midrange... that's a massive boost over stock (no pun intended) .
Can you find out the actual maximum difference in midrange gains and at what Rpm exactly? That would help out big time in showing just how much of a difference it makes where it counts (midrange).
Pretty amazing for only $999

Yeah only about 14 hp difference. I'd have to look closer and see if there were more information, dyno sheet, etc. Renntech was founded by an ex-amg engineer and builds some wicked cars.
I'd also like to know if either will maintain warranty coverage.

I'm sure there are online converters your can use.
The tune was probably developed in Europe and as stated, euro charged is still waiting for their cla45.

HP went from 353.9 to 396 which is more than 14 last time I did grade 2 math
Torque went from 323 ft/lbs to 395 ft/lbs.
Those are substantial gains on this car but more importantly, look at the area under the curve.

We are not going to release exact boost increases but will say its not as much as a lot out there by far. I know renntech is running 2 bar on one of their test cars. (max I believe)

converting PS to HP is really close to 1:1 (technically 1 ps is .98 hp)
for NM to torque it's 1 newton meter = 0.737 pound foot tq
I will send a email out to our dealers and try and grab a us based graph

I know a lot of people are saying the engine is maxed etc, but also remember people were saying the same thing about the M3's....and we know how that turned out!
It truly is an exiting platform!

Thank you for the further details in more detail. Once you guys get your cla45 the tune will evolve and you think there is more to be had?

We followed the same approach with the 63 platform. We originally posted a 40whp gain. We then got our own 63 and it didn't leave the dyno for a few weeks lol. After a few months of testing and many miles under her belt we released V3 and V4 of the tunes.
We are always trying to provide a better product as technology improves!

its all the extra torque gained that concerns me for engine wear….~400 ft lbs of torque out of 2.0 litres! Thats a lot of torque for such small displacement!

I just want a tune safe for the stock engine. I don't want to have to change cams or pistons or sleeve it or anything.

So is the CLA45 motor... The entire motor is fully forged, and the transmission has carbon tip gears. The sucker is designed to be bulletproof.
Also, the CLA only peaks at 26.1 boost, then drops off so there is room to make power on the motors. 30psi is probably the safest that motor can handle. But there are other ways to make power than boost.

That makes me laugh everytime someone says that about boost. 30psi on a 40mm turbo vs 30psi on a 80mm turbo is sooooooooooooooo different. I can boost the 80mm to 15psi and make more power than the 40mm at 30psi. So what you're saying is that the 80mm at 30psi will be fine and not hurt the motor?

I think he was referring to the stock turbo bra

Its not apples to apple, I understand. Im just saying I think there is room for more power, safely, in the CLA.
