Is this the same product that is on their webpage? Looks like gains are 70hp and 70Nm?

Was the run done with flash tune only or with other mods?

We would need the ecu sent to us to apply the tune, and we would send it back to you

no sir, not yet. The ability to flash the car itself without a piggyback is brand new.

different. The product currently on the site is a piggyback unit. This is brand new and is a flash tune

I'm a little confused as to how the hp/tq curves intersect at 4250rpm vs 5252rpm?

Good catch though vaelin! I didn't notice it myself the first time I looked at it; its a simple physics relationship, the torque HAS to equal Hp at 5252 rpms in this type of application.

It is probably shown like this in all honesty to maximize the appearance of the flash tunes increase in power over the baseline.

If you check the scales used you will see that the Power (HP) scale does not equal the Torque (NS)(FTLB) scale. This is why the the curves cross at 4250rpm VS 5250rpm. The curves cross at 5250 rpm when the scales used are equal.

So net around 50whp.

Good enough for me..

Now.. have you guys figured out how to change other parameters such as ECO defaulting to off, etc.? Or that'll have to wait until you guys can put it on the handheld?

Not good enough how? 50WHP gain from just a flash tune is amazing especially on just a little 2.0L motor.

lol.

For some reason there seems to be a habit of people not reading my posts correctly.

Where'd you get "not good enough" from "Good enough for me.."?

I'm asking about any additional parameters the reflash is capable of modifying besides just performance.

Definitely pros and cons. The piggybacks are not that much different from this and easily removable for dealer visits. Annual service appointments will likely erase the tune and require a reflash. Wouldn't it just make more sense to wait and see if this can be done on a handheld? Just asking, not criticizing. I want to get a tune also and am just trying to weigh out all the pros and cons too.

are you saying ECU tune flashes are erased during routine services?
i'vw never heard of that happening. i would think it would be quite difficult.
can anyone confirm on this?

In theory it could. A new version of the factory tune to resolve an issue or something. Maybe all the *****ing about the DCT shifting perhaps.

It happened with my wife's 135i, which had a Dinan tune on it. Had to bring it back to Dinan for them to reflash.

Damn.
