It is probably shown like this in all honesty to maximize the appearance of the flash tunes increase in power over the baseline.

If you check the scales used you will see that the Power (HP) scale does not equal the Torque (NS)(FTLB) scale. This is why the the curves cross at 4250rpm VS 5250rpm. The curves cross at 5250 rpm when the scales used are equal.

Good catch though vaelin! I didn't notice it myself the first time I looked at it; its a simple physics relationship, the torque HAS to equal Hp at 5252 rpms in this type of application.

Good enough for me..
Now.. have you guys figured out how to change other parameters such as ECO defaulting to off, etc.? Or that'll have to wait until you guys can put it on the handheld?

Not good enough how? 50WHP gain from just a flash tune is amazing especially on just a little 2.0L motor.
lol.

Where'd you get "not good enough" from "Good enough for me.."?
I'm asking about any additional parameters the reflash is capable of modifying besides just performance.

Definitely pros and cons. The piggybacks are not that much different from this and easily removable for dealer visits. Annual service appointments will likely erase the tune and require a reflash. Wouldn't it just make more sense to wait and see if this can be done on a handheld? Just asking, not criticizing. I want to get a tune also and am just trying to weigh out all the pros and cons too.

i'vw never heard of that happening. i would think it would be quite difficult.
can anyone confirm on this?

It happened with my wife's 135i, which had a Dinan tune on it. Had to bring it back to Dinan for them to reflash.
It will be quite some time before a handheld option is out
