Thinking of getting the AMG performance seats, what is is like if you are doing a looooong road trip ? I sat in one last year and I felt it was a bit hard (not enough soft cushion material ?) and it was form fitting and nice but not sure about sitting in one for a few hours . Any comment ?

well their ok if your slim medium built .
on long trips you can always add a gel cushion pad .
if you have a wide rump it might be uncomfortable.

Did a 4 hours round trip over the weekend and they were comfortable. My wife who's all about plushy seats didn't complain one bit either. On long trip, the key is adjusting the lumbar support for your lower back and you're good to go. These seat fit and look amazing, would highly recommend not passing them up.

they're completely fine.

I'm a heavier guy and I drove 4 hours immediately from the factory when I got my car with AMG Performance Seats. It was a bit tight at first, but you get used to it.

unfortunally for my wife she has a big rump but for me her rump is good.

I am not worried about the fit. I just felt that it was kind of hard and don't know how bad that would be if sitting for a long time with not much cushion.

Again sat in mine for 2 hours stretches and never did they once feel hard or uncomfortable in any way.

I think you'll be fine. I've done several 4 hr trips and they felt good. I've had 2 CLA45's with both seat options. I would definitely recommend the Recaro's. Best seats I've had in a car to date.

I've sat in the standard seats and they kinda suck. Recaros are definitely worth it.

Yes i Know but my car was a Promotion car from Mercedes and i have Thema normal seats in my car nur now i Want the Performance Seats

Be prepared to sell your kids, your wife, possibly your soul to get those seats as an item from Parts lol

I got the regular seats and as a daily driver they are supremely comfortable. Done 8+hour road trips with no issues.

However, they definitely don't look as sporty or offer the support the Recaros will. I would have liked to get them, but I was afraid I would be a little too wide to sit in them comfortably lol

Yeah I'm glad I ticked that check mark when ordering lol I knew they wouldn't be cheap if trying to retrofit.

If you are built say larger than Shia Labeouf you may to see how they are on an extended test drive.

there are several people on hear over 6.0 feet tall med to muscular build who haven't complained about them on long drives .
I think soolman is one.
my self I love them.

I am over 6" and wear a 48L. For me it wouldn't be ideal, I will have to sit in the standard seats to see how those are.

For the looks alone, I may just deal with it.
