A180 heating not working

The heating on my A class has suddenly stopped heating. With the temperature dial at maximum, the air is only mildly warm.

Whether the AC switch is activated doesn't seem to make any difference to the heat output (car at normal running temperature).

The set temperature shows on the radio screen, so looks like the temperature is registering.

It's still under warranty, so will contact the dealer, but anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?

Don't have the VIN just now, but it's a 2014 model.

Sounds like a heater circulation pump, however the Xentry quick scan will tell he real story on the faulty component!!

OK thanks, taking it in next week... bit disappointed that it's failed already!

Remember we don't know anything until they run the quick test which will indicate what component is faulty.

Just got the vehicle back from the dealer. Apparently the fault was with the stepper motor under the dash that opens and closes a vent when heating is selected. Not a good explanation, but that seems to have fixed it!
