Hi All! I just got a new A220 and am looking for information about how to replace the front grille and how to upgrade to an illuminated star.

I've found compatible products on various websites (links below), but I can't find any info on how to remove/install them.

Any help would be appreciated!

hey man! we are on the same boat, lol, if you can order from china directly, the price will be a lot cheaper, for example, on www.taobao.com. i will do that once i got my A220.

and another cheaper way to do is to put "chrome" yourself. that should work as well.

Did you install the illuminated star yet? I'm looking to do the same thing but trying to confirm with anybody that knows, if the removal of the stock MB star (mirror style not the grill style) is to twist it off counterclockwise like the grill style MB stars.

I did not. I can't find documentation on how to remove the star or the grill yet. It's a lease so I don't want to f*ck it up lol.

It's actually easy for the star. You have to go from the inside, but you just use a screwdriver or something small and push the emblem out for the mirror styles and then pop in the new illuminated one. I recommend the mirror style though for a perfect fit.
Grill style is rotating counter clockwise to pop out.
Newer, mirror styles are push outs.

You are going to do that on a lease? What for? Mine has radar behind the star. Not screwing with it.

I don't have a lease. :-). The new mirror styles also have the radar behind the star, but it's nothing complicated. Though, I'm a bit of a gear head.
