FS: AMG 17" Thin Spoke, Machined Lip, Rims with Goodyear F1's

Set of four (4) factory OEM Mercedes AMG thin-spoke wheels (with machined lip) with nearly new Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires. Wheels are 17"x7.5 front with 225-45ZR17 and 17"x8.5 rear with 245-40ZR17. Wheels have NO curb rash, or fixed damage. These fit all CLK 's, SLK's, E's and C class. Center caps are included.

The tires were mounted by a factory dealer (Knauz) using factory weights. That alone cost $300. Tires have less 2,000 miles from a C240.

$1,250 (a bargain compared to eBay listings). I'll help with shipping.

sorry buddy... weights are weights... they are all the same. overpaying for 17" tire install is crazy...

most places will do mount & balance for free... or $15 a wheel at max....

You might want to lower the price of these rims...u might get more action.... i purchased my 18" AMG twin spokes for 1400 shipped....

adding weights to the wheels is never a good sign.... less is better

a premium made wheel should require almost no weights... imperfections in the wheel and/or tire will require weights to balance it off...

so, to say that you had to pay $300 for weights, how much weights are we talking? couple pounds per wheel?

Tough group. The description states 'tires were mounted by factory dealer using factory weights' which cost $300. Clearly this charge was not just for the weights.

I've experienced tire mounting and balancing by the 30min. in and out tire shops. Acceptable work for a Yugo.

Did I overpay? That depends - the Michelins were removed, the rims were scrubbed clean to remove any debris, the Goodyears were mounted on a MB factory authorized mounting and balancing machine approved for AMG rims. The rims were not scored in any fashion - the tires do not lose air.

Weights are not just weights - look carefully at IAM vs. OES wheel weights - you'll see a difference.

Are the wheels priced fair? - I'd say they are considering eBay has them for considerably more money.

I could not agree more. I always have to slip the mexicans $20, at least, to get them to not scratch the hell out of my wheels. Those people could give two s.hits about your wheels.

I am have considered, for some time, getting a used balancer and doing the work myself. I know of several people on the forums that do this.
