Luxury Motors Ohare, Any opinions?

I was looking at a SL 600 at this dealership in Illinois yesterday. Has anyone had any dealings with these people? Where else in the Chicagoland area can you shop for a Mercedes? Thank you, Rodbuster.

Bought a 2004 Sl55 in 2005 and a 2007 E63 AMG Wagon a month ago. Can't beat their prices. Not the best detailed cars and many have higher than average mileage. Also make sure you get them to put the "I owe you items" in writing. If you're careful you can do ok with them.

I bought my C32 and my M# from them. Great guys...

The owner walks around and sells cars too. You won't even know it's him.

I would stay away as well. Unless you now how to look at the car very well. They sell cars that have been in accident and frame damaged without descibe to the customer.

Most of the used cars they sell, come from trades. If the previous owner didn't disclose this information to them and it wasn't on the carfax, there is a chance they could miss it during inspection. This is the case with any USED car dealer.

Like I said, I have personally purchased 2 cars from them totaling over $60,000. I have put 32,000 miles on my C32 since purchasing it from them and I have had no issues.

I also requested to have both cars inspected by a third party before purchasing and they let me drive the car over there myself. MB gave the C32 a clean bill of health and BMW gave the M3 a clean bill of health. Who buys a $30,000 used car without having it inspected?? Both bill totaled $300 for the inspections and in my opinion it was worth every penny.

Keep in mind they sell 7000 cars a year (according to the above post), which comes to 583 cars a month. They have sold 20,000 cars since 2000. 50 people have filed complaints about them since 2000, which is like 1%. I own a small business and I wish I had that record.

BTW - I have also modded my C32 to death and I still don't have any issues to date.

I could care less where someone buys their car from, but you can't beat the deal that LM can give you.

Don't worry about where you get your car from, worry about the car! Get it inspected by a third party, and take advantage of their deals.
