Feeler: Used (with extreme care) Canon 30D + extras

I bought the camera in August 2007 (receipt available), took pictures with it (first time digi-SLR user), learned SO much from it, and produced some wonderful pictures: see http://www.flickr.com/photos/flipachu

I've kept it in pristine shape (most people buying pro-body cameras tend to take care of them pretty damn well...yes, I'm afraid so). So why am I selling this goddamn awesome camera? Honestly, because the 40D came out and is more expensive, and I can't help but spend more money for it...there is NO good reason why I'm really letting this camera go. I'm literally wanting to spend more money at this point (about $400 more into that SLR). My insane decision now = your fabulous Christmas present to a loved one.

$850 gets this package OVERNIGHTED to you ANYWHERE in the continental united states:

-1.6x Canon 30D Body only (original box, paperwork, warranty card, etc, manuals, extras, camera cap, battery, strap) ~$999
-throwing in the BG-E2 battery grip (portrait shooting, easier to hold, purchased August 07) ~$150.
-gimme $20 and I'll throw in a 4GB CF card and a reader (August 07). ~$90
-free photography tips for life. Priceless.

Merry Christmas to you, because I'm no doubt receiving coals this season. I hate myself. Did I say feeler?

bump for jose!

I'm looking at a brand new xti, but didn't want to spit the money up for it (well the money is now towards the c/os!) beacuse I know if I get a manual adjust cam, i'd spend all my money towards it!

Dude, this is a way better deal than the XTI.... and besides, they're both SLRs the only difference is the XTI is smaller, smaller view finder, smaller LCDs, smaller everything with the inconvenience of not being able to use ALL canon lenses... The XTI doesn't have an internal focussing motor like all the other cameras do.... so you have to be more careful to select the right lenses.... BUY IT!!!! Be the Baller with the CF Airbox AND the D30...lol.

If I didn't buy a Nikon I'd have bought this if it was available a couple of months ago...

Bump for Jose who hooked a brother up with the cats...

Canon cameras don't have internal focus motors... the EOS line has the motors in the lenses....

Also the XTI can use all of Canon lenses such as the EF and EFS mounts. The only cameras with limitations with lenses are the 1 Series and I believe the 5D.

Also it's a 30D not a D30, the D30 was circa 1999 which was 3.1MP.

Pictures added - sorry for the long wait.

I hope it's apparent in these pictures that I don't go cheap on myself, so neither should you. . Note: I took these photos with a "10.1" Kodak point and shoot in doors at ISO80 and am TRYING to make the pictures do some justice. But I didn't want to work on P&S pictures :\.

*There happens to be a $40,000 printer in the background if you can find it =).

Jose, that's quite a collection of Canon lens you have there. This explains the awesome photos you've taken. I too am a Canon fan both with the film SLR and Rebel XT (not XTI). This is a good deal for those wanting more bells and whistles on a camera. I'm just waiting to upgrade myself.

Good luck on the sale!....or did you say feeler?

For some reason, I keep telling myself that but it never works. :\. Hell, I say take the body only and go for the accessories later.
