Car won't start

I was driving my car today, no problems. We stopped to go shopping and let the car sit for about an hour. came back and it wouldn't start but the starter kept turning. I went and opened the gas tank door and let it breathe, not sure if this helped. anyway it started and I drove home. I let it sit for about 3 hours and then went to leave. It didn't start again, I have a 1/4 tank of gas. I read some old posts saying the fuel gauge isn't reliable. Anyone think it could just be low on gas? It is sitting level in my garage and I'm sure none of the dealers are open till tuesday. I hope my warranty covers.

I've also heard about problems with the fuel gauge. How far did you drive home? If you had no gas you wouldnt have been able to drive far and it would have been very sluggish.

It wasn't sluggish at all. I drove about 4 miles after it wouldn't start and the car drove normal. I was able to get it started last night and filled up the gas tank. I will see if it might be a low fuel problem. Hopefully.

i had a problem w/ my car that sounded very simliar to yours. Once I changed out the 02 sensors and the MAF, the problem went away.

Sounds like the cranshaft position sensor. Search the forum, good luck!
