Maybe I'm crazy but I thought it didn't matter which way I inserted my key fob (in my 2002 CLK 55) now it will only start if I insert it the correct way. This happens with all three of my fobs. Is it me that's nuts and that is the way it has always been or is something odd happening to my ignition switch?
