which flat hood emblem fits a 2001 CLK430?
i called the local MB dealer trying to find out what part i needed since i want to eliminate the hood star emblem and the parts tech didn't know which is it that fits in the w208 hood. so i hope someone can tell me which car the emblem comes from. your help will be appreciated.

You will need an adapter to fit the flat emblem. The best place to buy the emblem and adapter is on ebay. You should expect to pay around $40 + shipping.
