It aint me. It's you.

Here's a tip. I think you'll like it. If you do, then pass it on to some other soul with the same problem.

Internet Explore configuration will downsize/resize jpg images.
To get rid of this annoying Bill Gates feature,
Go to: Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced (tab)
Scroll down to the heading: Multimedia
Remove the checkmark from: Enable Automatic Image Resizing
Select: OK

Now, you can see the real thing, instead of what Bill Gates wants you to see.
If you ever want to change full size images back to teeny tiny images, just put the checkmark back in.

Idle Swede,

This one's for you, on how to change your Internet Explorer setting to stop resizing images. If you really are a Swede, then, other than free your country in WW2, don't say America never did anything for you. This should help with the imaging problem.

Great Pancho, worked beautiful Thank you.

I am a Swede and America has done a lot of things for me to which I'm for ever grateful.
As far as WW2, what can I say Pancho, you better bring out and restudy the history book again......

Re. WW2 history. I am pretty well versed in this field. I will offer you two things:

1. Sweden's history in WW2 in a nutshell, as this fourm is not the place to discuss this in full.
2. A link to my website: http://www.panchogun.com/

As you must know, Sweden acquiesced to the German demands for railway access so that the Wehrmacht could get overland to Norway. There remains to this day some resentment from Norway over this, but, many also acknowledge the kindness of the Swedish people toward the many thousands of Norwegian refugees who fled to Sweden from the German occupation. Norway fought bravely, though ineffectively, against the German Fallshirmjaeger and Kriegsmarine assault, no thanks to Swedish compliance. Sweden likes to counter this argument by claims that it was neutral, but most historians, even Swedish historians, do not find this argument supportable. Sweden provided German industry with a host of important minerals for the war industry, most importantly iron ore, and, more significantly, the Swedish overland rail access allowed Germany to extract even more critical ores from Norway. Sweden also had numerous prisoner of war camps imprisoning many allied troops. The allies at one time even considered invading Sweden so as to cut off German Access to the rich Scandinavian ore supply. The eventual U.S./Allied victory over **** Germany freed Europe from **** tyranny. It is a telling statement, that some Swedes do not consider themselves as having been freed by our Allied victory, since, if one is a willing participant, then one has nothing to be freed from. Of course, most were not willing participants in **** aggression. Ironically, because of its acquiescence to German demands, Sweden was largely unmarred by WW2, yet it benefitted greatly from the U.S. Marshal plan for the rebuilding of Europe after the war.

Such is life.

PS. Since I posted this topic, then, I believe no grievance should issue re. "hijacking a topic", but, who knows ?

Thanks for the history lesson Pancho,

Imagine a country selling minerals for the war industry....

Thank God we live in a country that would never dream of doing such a thing.....

Let me see if I'm getting this right.
Your are a Swede.
You are living in my country.
You are upset about your country's history.
Thus, you criticize America.
You seem an ingrate, and you have insulted my country,
which you happen to be in, reaping its benefits.
Maybe Sweden is where you should be.

Put on your thinking cap for just a second.
Might you be able to understand why so many Americans
these days are disappointed in the current crop of immigrants ?

Your last response was a poor, poor showing.
I expected better from you.

No Panco, you are NOT getting it right...

I'm NOT upset about Swedens history.

I'm NOT critisizing America.

I have NOT insulted your (our) country, (I'm a citizen)

This conversation started with a MAF sensor question and ended with politics which i couldn't care less about, so how about you go back to you gun collection and I'll go back to my cars...........

Have a good day Sir and I hope we never have to talk again...

You should not assume that others share your ignorance of their country's history, and, as a counter, resort to insults. I agree with you though, it is best for you not to speak to anyone about anything, unless you are informed of your subject. Were I you, I would likely be a very quiet person.

Nice write-up. I will it this weekend, my idle is getting a little rough too, but it also can be my motor mounts. Do you just spray the everywhere inside the MAF or just that wire in the picture you showed.

Just the wire, and the little bead,
but don't touch it or bump it.
It's fragile.

Sorry, don't know about O2 sensor on MB. Last one I messed with was on a couple of my jeeps, and a related VO sensor on Harleys. They are usually sealed units that you have to replace.

Make a new topic. Maybe you'll find some knowledgeable help, you know, not the, "have you taken it to a mechanic ?" sort, but help from folks who actually know how to turn a wrench.

I like pancho, he comes here and actulally posts good info. I always would go out and buy a new maf, now I can clean it.

For all you haters leave him alone, hes actually contributing unlike alot of others.

I have been here longer than most of you, and I have seen this forum through its' up's and down's and you should all be grateful for a good do it yourself, even if you dont know how to use internet explorer.

Oh wait, I forgot everyone here is cheap and doenst want to go to the dealer, but then whine when its not the right format to read.

Come on guys, grow the hell up.

Hey, thanks. It's a car forum. Some need to remember that. Cars, cars, cars.

Yah, but, cleaning that MAF sensor really smoothed out my idle. Had even installed new plugs, and filters, etc., and, while idle was improved, apparently, the MAF sensor plays a big, big, part, because once I cleaned it the engine really settled down. Purrs like a kitty cat, now.
