Pics Of The New Custom Made Splitter Lip
The pics aren't perfect but you can see what I had made and how it fits. I like it because it looks clean but still aggressive and not like my other cheap glued on piece of ****e. In case any of you are wondering where, how and how much: Plastic Depot Black Star Board 3/8" thick $100 I just made a stencil of my Brabus lower lip and designed around it to my taste They'll make any shape you want. They make these all day for the Ferrari Club members so there is plenty of stock. You can also go thicker with the material but they have mostly 3/8" thick stock right now. 1/2" is probably the thickest you can go. |

This is what I had before The 1st pic really shows how cheap and how badly it was attached |
dono how i feel about it... rest of the car is lookin good tho
|
dont really get the point of it. i think its a downgrade. your car looked fine before. looks like there is too much goin on with that lip. just my 2 cents
|
im with these guys ^^^
car looks dope! but that on a benz = rice IMO if it was smaller and carbon fibre MAYBE... but otherwise cheap and tacky looking on such a nice car |
bro i like it. looks different and nice. like it has a reason for being there. just my 2cents
|
Is it just me, or does it seem to be a shade of gray, and not black.
Or has it just not been painted yet? Imho, the "lip" (Don't know the english word) is a little bit too "deep" (streched out from the rest of the bumper). I can't really tell if I liked the old one better or not, it did however, imho, match the sideskirts a bit better. But hey, as I am still running stock, I should probably not have any weight in this :) |
It's black plastic...I may end up painting it black later on but for now it will stay with it's natural black plastic look.
I wanted somthing different than what's out there... I think my car is far from RICE. It looks clean, aggressive and most of all I like it. |

i saw an M6 with a carbon fiber lip. it looked good.
|
I think it looks cool. And yes, I'd say your car is far from rice.
|
yeah, that looks really slick actually. Thats what a good front lip needs is a little extension. I think that piece just completed the front of your car! Very very nice. I really wish my bumper had a more aggressive bottom so I could add one on. the amg bumper curves in too much.

where can we find all the parts of this car or can we place a special order to company to make some for us?
Im talking about fenders, front & rear bumper |
I was thinkin about buying some CLK63 pistons, camshaft and other moor parts but dunno why to find those parts

I would either get it paint matched or send it right over the edge a get it wrapped in cabon fiber. :v: |
The Look on that Black Series is what I was planning to do even before seeing that post on myMBonline. It made me happy to see that.
I will end up painting it black later on. CF could happen if the price is right...but I'm not sure if I'll like it because I don't have any other CF parts on my car to match it with. |

Yea I think it looks nice its just that gray color that's throwing everybody off. I think once u paint it black it will look nicer and blend in better cf would look really nice
|
i agree...but paint it, not cf. cf looks nice, but the only purpose is for lighter weight. I believe a few coats of paint/clear would weigh less than CF...and as you say, there's no matching CF for it to go witih. i think painted black would be sweet. i actually really liked that outline strip you mentioned earlier in a different thread.

The M113 is a SOHC design and the 63 is a DOHC design, so you’d need the complete heads. The 63 heads won’t bolt to a M113 block, so you’d need a 63 block. Since the bore spacing is different, you’d need a 63 crank and rods, and you said you wanted the pistons, so, yeah, the whole long block. You’d need the intake manifold too, because the M113 intake won’t bolt to 63 heads (due to that bore spacing issue). The 63 intake uses two 70mm throttle bodies, so yeah, those too. You’d need the Bosch ME 9.7 ECU as well, because that’s what controls the variable valve duration, and that engine will fall on it’s face without it. The ECU will need the 63 engine wiring harness. Come to think of it, the bore spacing is going to require 63 exhaust manifolds too . . . . . . . . basically, you’d need a complete M156, which you can read about here. Probably cheaper to buy BlackBenzz's whole car. Faster too. |
