Wheel Bearing Kit
So I'm thinking of getting this wheel bearing kit from autohausaz.
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...0Bearing%20Kit Hopefully it will solve the rubbing noise I get from my right front wheel. I might as well try it since I'll be down there anyways doing a front brake job. I'm planning on just getting one kit for the right front wheel. Is that okay? or should they be done in pairs? Has anyone on here worked on their wheelbearings or used this kit? any tips/directions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |
Doing one side is fine.

If I remember the diagrams correctly, after pulling the rotor, the bearing can be pulled from the hub. Freeplay was .01 to .02 mm. Being that I can't measure three to seven ten-thousandths of an inch by feel, I'd use a dial indicator.

I havn't done it on the Benz yet, but from my experience (almost 19yrs working on my own cars), whatever you do on the right, its best to do it to the left now, because it will have to be done soon anyway. Brakes, Tires, Tie-Rod Ends, Struts, ect... you always do everything in pairs. Good luck to you! Take some pictures so I know how to do it next month! :) |
