Hey,

I just got my windows done by a professional window tinter for a really good price. His name is Jack Taravella. He does Automotive, Marine Residential and Commercial. He is a perfectionist and takes his time to get the work done right. He uses a very expensive film that is not black but a dark charcoal that makes the car look so SWEEEEEET!!! He has been tinting windows for the past 20 years. Just wanted to let you guys know because i have been looking for a excellent window tinter for the past 5 months. was your window rubber channel modified? mine was not and the tint scratched last week.

ya i have those lil scratch lines on my tint or window too.....how do i prevent that??

Yes, my window rubber channel is modified. He first took my door panel apart. Then he took out the rubber channel and placed a special felt on them so the tint would not get scratched. He is well worth every penny. He knows his stuff.

He charged me 160$ for tints and 30$ per door to felt. Came out to 220$. Well worth it.

I am going to put up pictures tomorrow...I want to give my car a nice car wash. By the way I got LED Tailights and they look awesome. There so hot. The car looks like an 08' with new tail lights.

those come from the hard plastic inner mouldings.i cover them in a soft felt,retint the windows and your set.call 7188488502

Hey man - I have used a couple of different window tinting providers and I finally settled on Top Edge Window Tinting. It's in St James (not sure where you are located), but they do cover all of Long Island for Auto, residential and commercial I believe. At least I know for residential and commercial they do. Auto might be a smaller radius. But I had 2 cars done by them - my civic ex and my old Galant, and both came out awesome. I forget the costs because it was a while ago but I got high performance tint on my civic and I don't remember it being that much and it came out awesome, and then I got regular tint on my galant which was also awesome, but a different color (that's what I wanted). So in my opinion the best long island window tinting place would be Top Edge Window Tinting only because I had 2 great experiences there and the staff was very nice, prices were good, and that's about it. Wherever you go though just make sure you do some quick research and look at reviews. If you can to call top edge - there number is 631-724-7100 I think they're open every day but Sunday.
