2001 CLK320 hesitates upon acceleration
My 2001 CLK320 hesitates upon acceleration. This is an intermittent problem that seems to be getting worse over time. It also occurs in the morning after the car has been sitting overnight. It feels as if the car loses all power and then regains it suddenly. This is becoming a danger on the road to say the least. Yesterday the car stalled at an intersection. I was able to restart it and pulled to the side of the road and let the engine idle for about ten minutes. I continued on to work without a problem (45 miles) and returned home that evening with no similar issues. HELP!!

autohausaz.com is a good site with competitive prices. I've bought parts from them. That's a good place to buy the MAF.
You might want to try cleaning your MAF first though, instead of replacing it...You probably have already run across the threads about cleaning it...There are some pretty good write-ups on here.
Cleaning the MAF was only a temporary fix for mine. I ended up getting a MAF insert off of ebay.
If you end up having to buy one, be really careful if you get one from EBAY. Some ebay auctions even give a Bosch part number, but they are just for reference and what you get is not a Bosch MAF. I bought the Bosch MAF insert instead of the entire MAF...That saves you a couple bucks too, but you'll need a torx security bit to install it.

When I bought my CLK a couple yrs ago it came with this issue and I got a brand new OEM maf off ebay for $85. worked like a charm and about 1/3 the price the dealer wanted.

Back in February when i first bought the car from a private owner, that was the ONLY thing that was wrong with it. The sad part was... it didn't start that problem til i got home that same day i paid the guy in full.
Anyways... it can't be your Mass Air Flow Sensor. Don't waste your money on that. I almost did.
I have a 320 also, and the dealer fixed the problem. it became more of a problem when they told me how much it cost! LoL.
Ask the dealer to have your PEDAL ACCELERATION SENSOR checked. unlike older cars, ours are ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED. older cars are controlled by actual cables in the pedals. That's your best bet.
