Only set of Keys Locked in the boot

Good afternoon,

My neighbour managed to lock his only set of keys in his boot this morning as he only used the button to pop the boot wich doesn't unlock the car then shut the boot with the keys still in there.

Within 5 mins or less we gained access to his car wich gave us access to his boot wich gave us access to his keys.

Would it be irresponsible for me to tell you guys how easy it is ? The only reason i ask is i would like to give something back to this community so if you dont mind i would like to tell you how we did it or should i just keep it to myslef.

forums admin....Please let me know if it's ok to post the details (I dont want to get banned from this forum as it is a goldmine when it comes to knowledge)

Posting how to break into a vehicle online is probably not the smartest thing to do. Every vehicle has a weak point of entry, pointing it out on a public forum is asking for problems for many users down the road.

Yeah your right and thats what i thought, hence why i didn't write how to do it....

Just trying to give something back..:y

I actually think that he should share the info so that we can protect ourselves from whatever it is he did. I am more than positive that the thieves already know the access point anyway. I for one would like to know so that I can try and fix the problem so that they cant get in that way anymore.

Just my .02 cents.........

Greg

ahh would be very interesting to know...like you said, i am sure the thieves are already aware of the weak points...would be nice to know in case of an unfortunate happening...PM me...interesting thread

TheDon 10-13-2008 04:51 PM

i took some photos on how we did it tonight only it was dark so they are not that clear. If you want them ill send them. I'll try and take some more tomorrow but it all depends if my neighbour gets home from work before it's dark as i'm not just gonna take photos unless i have his permission.

One more thing, the proceedure i have pm'd to you guys(and girls) will ONLY be usefull IF you can gain access to the boot/Trunk of the car via the back seats folding down as you will see in the photo's.

Let me kow if you want em

Doesn't the car have a trunk release button?

TheDon 10-16-2008 07:05 AM

Yeah the car does have a trunk release button, but I think because we set the alarm off, when we got into the car the trunk release didn't work....OR it was because the car was originally locked and we opened it from the inside, so the car hasn't been unlocked via the key, hence nothin inside works i guess. If you disable the alarm and unlock the door with the keys the trunk/boot release button works.

J Lucas 10-16-2008 11:12 AM

Can I get that pm? My trunk wont open and I can get into the car. the metal key doesnt work and the release doesnt work and the remote doesnt work... Thank god I am getting rid of it soon.

TheDon 10-17-2008 07:44 AM

The PM i've been sending is a description of how to access the car if you have locked your Keys in the car.

You said you can get into the car.....Can you get into the boot/trunk via the back seats from the inside of the car ? If so problem soved.

Ill send you a PM anyway.
