Buying new rims, need advice on tires & lowering

I am about to purchase the Carlsson 1/6 Evo Diamond Cut finish. They are 18/8.5 front and 18/9 rear. I want to lower the car after. I want the drop to hide the gap and maybe a little of the tire. I am wondering what is a good tire to go with? Springs that will lower the 18"s this low? Below I have attached a pic of the drop I am intrested in, I am assuming this is atleast a 2" drop. Will I need to roll my fenders and what does that involve? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

To get that drop, you will need the H&R Cup Kit from www.evosport.com which will drop your car 1.9" front and 1.6" rear. For tires I'll go with 235/40-18 F and 265/35-18 R Michelin Pilot Sports.

IMHO, i think if you are looking solely at bang for the buck, Yokohama might be a better choice, ive had a bit of bad luck with my Kumhos, as has my dad...

Yeah I only have 100 miles or so on my yoko avs es-100 but they are nice. Also they are about the same price as the Kumho.

Don't need a cup kit to fit 18" rims on your car. All you need is just lowering springs. There are many brands out there, but I use H&R sport springs. Eibach will not lower your car as much as H&R.

I have set 19"x9" all around on my CLK and didn't use cup kit. But, I did rolled my fender (only rear) just little bit. No problem at all with 18" rims. You will need nothing but springs.

Just my opinion and from my experience.
