How different are Senekas from HREs? Who makes stronger (better) wheels?

I've noticed a lot of you are getting such wide rims that the width of the tire is not enough to line up visually with the width of the rim. This gives the impression that the rim is actually wider than the tire. Do you like this look? I personally don't like that look not to mention in NYC those rims would be scuffed in the first parking job. Just a question I think the rims are great, they just need more tire.

Good question! Not really sure myself although I believe HRE's has been around longer that IF. As far as which one is stronger not really sure but both of them Seneka 3pc wheel and 540R's are the s**t!!

Actually this is a typical staggered setup. Which normally the rears width is wider than the front. In NY you don't want to have this setup cuz the roads will the ruin your rims pretty quick.

I think wyatt is saying that the tires aren't wide enough to accomdate the 10 rims, where 265 isn't sufficient, and 285 would be better.

However, 285 will doubtfully fit on the CLK.

The guy that started introforge used to work at HRE. Supposedly they obtain wheels barrels from the same source.

Basically, very similar to HRE, but without the mark up.

I would go for introforged, but they need more styles.

Wow, thanks for the compliments guys, I didn't expect so many replies. Anyway, I think HRE and IForge are basicly the same quality except you're paying for the name for HRE. IForged is a relatively new wheel company and not many people know about it, but they sure make great wheels. They were able to give me a 2" lip in the front and 3" lip in the rear, and they're located near me, that's another reason why I went with them. Vicent Wong from IForged helped me measured the offset and everything for my wheels, it's a custom wheel company so he made the best setup for me w/o rubbing. And most important of all, I'm the first Mercedes owner who has IForged wheels on the car I got them for $3,800 w/ Toyo T1-S, if you guys are interested in getting a set, shoot Vince an e-mail vwong@iforged.com , I'm sure he'll make your very own custom wheels. More wheels can be seen on www.iforged.com . Thanks again guys.

Hey James how wide are those lips on your wheels. Maybe you can fit a 20*10.5 or 20*10.0 with a 4" lip
