Angry Either replace or eliminate the resinators.

I found out the rattle under my Clk 2002 Clk 430 was the driver side resonator. Whats the best way to go about it. Can you eliminate the resonators without messing up the engine and electrical of the car? Or what would be the cheapest way to replace them? Help!!!!!! Oh by the way no check engine light is on and the car runs fine besides the damn rattle noise.

99CLK320,
the secondary cats and resonator can be eliminated without negative ramifications unless md(Maryland?) has tough emission laws like CA. the exhaust note will be louder however. Use the Search function for more discussion on this subject or go to youtube to see what your call will sound like after they are gone.

I just had this done to 01 clk320, under most circumstances you will not notice a difference. However under full throttle is another story as it will be louder, I'm still getting used to it.
