I'm interested in how it turns out for you. Can you post some pics of the kit when you get it and maybe some install pics as well?
Keep us posted.
Thanks

99' CLK 320 Coupe
Hey Viktorious! Thats where I went on ebay, and cl_kruisin
, I too think that the info they're selling for the other cars are the same too! lol
I personally would like to know if its gives enough room to come out of the car. Looking at the pics it looks like you have to make a tight squeeze to step out of the vehicle. Unless your like 3ft tall or something Anyways lets keep this thread alive! Peace.

Comparing the 2... the CLKs doors are probably TWICE the weight of the Accord's door... or at least it feels like it... therefore, I'm a little hesitant to trust the same Door Lift Shocks to handle the job...
Do you know how many lbs those lift shocks can withstand vs. how many lbs the CLK doors weigh?

I'm not downing the mod at all, I think it looks sweet. My only concern would be the practicality of it as well as the ROI.

If it looks that hot on an E46, it would look 3x hotter on a Mercedes. The SLR have these doors, so why not put them on a CLK? this is strictly for show purposes, and to see the faces of fellow mercedes enthuisiasts when they see i have lambo doors on my CLK. hehehehehehe

I hear ya. GO FOR IT. Don't let anyone tell you it won't look good or that'll it'll look trashy. And keep us posted, I'm anxious to see how it looks on a CLK.
By the way, did you order the Decah kit yet?

I am pretty sure I will have these on my car in the next couple of months. As someone said before, they come on the SLR.....and I think they would look sweet on the CLK.

Well in NYC. Civics have superchargers, turbochargers, lowering springs,HIDS,roof wings, underbody kits, alloy rims, chrome rims, strobes and every other mod you can do to a car. So if your not going to do something simply because its on a civic, then my friend your car will have to remain stock...

I believe you have the option to open it the regular way or the lamborghini styled way. If not, then you just can't do it....

Exactly. Like Vanilla Rice...rice rice baby.
Please. Think hard, remember where this door concept is made famous from. They don't call them lambo doors for nothing. So in your mind a Lamborghini must be rice as well.
Just because there are a hand full of Civics sporting lambo doors, that makes it rice? Hardly. There are civics sporting Benz emblems, does that make a benz rice?
Come on, put your head on straight. This is far from rice and a lot closer to "class".

So badging a civic ///m isn't rice because ///m cars surely aren't rice. I agree with you that the lambo doors aren't rice....however the fact that they you are refering to them as lambo doors and they aren't going on a lambo is for sure an arguement FOR rice as opposed to against it.
That's a little hard to follow. But this style of door has been dubbed "lambo" doors. So do you want to change the name of them, just because they aren't going on a lambo? If you call them something else, people won't know what the hell your talking about.
