Help!!! Xenon low beam wont turn on
My original xenon wont turn on on either side. When i turn on the lights there is a little flicker then nothing. Bought new ballasts changed em a few days ago, but problem remained. Then tested old and new ballast on battery, all 4 worked. checked battery and wiring. Nothing there either. Tried both 35w and 55w bulbs, no change. I was at the mb deler today to check if xenon was set as present but they couldn't find it in the star diagnostic. There was no fault codes either. What to do? Can i get switched power to make em work from somewhere else? Winter is coming and would be great to have driving lights.

You say you connect the ballast directly to 12V and it works? Then check the voltage where wires connect to ballast, and work back to the switch.

any luck?
just checking up, did you ever solve your issue?
I have installed OEM xenons from an 05 into my 02 and I get the same issue.
I had a shop set the xenon present code to on and they told me the only way it works is if i turn the lights on first before the ignition. This does work but sometimes the flickering comes back (most notably when they are 'cold started').
I realize now that my car might be still looking for 55W bulbs and I am using 35W phillips xenons. I was going to purchase new bulbs but after reading that you had no luck I'm hesitant to waste the money...
Did you have any luck figuring out if it was faulty wiring or something like that? ANY advice would be much appreciated!

Request a printout of the coding of the 02 when they claimed they set it to “PRESENT”. There is no setting in 2000+ cars that I am aware of for this. 1996-1999, yes.

I purchased an MB STAR C3 in February and everything has run fine until today.
I get the following error when I try to run EPC Net:
Error 451: No Valid StartKey.
WIS works fine. I tried generating a new key but it still won't work. Any ideas on how to fix it?
